I found XP for level ups. It's for vanilla Enemy Unknown/Within though, I don't know if Long War changes them.

I know for a fact that you need 4200 XP to reach max promotion level, and I think you get enough XP from a regular mission to promote from PVT to SPEC directly, around 100.

Basically I need XP threshold for promotion and earned XP values for completed missions and kills in Long War, videos from the latest version would be a good source but my internet doesn't work fast enough for me to look for them.

I installed Long War in an empty directory and took a dive inside of its files.

; Soldier XP Levels

Will edit in XP gains if I find them.

EDIT: Couldn't find them. However, I found this instead. It's a Google spreadsheet for LW Beta 15a detailing the XP system. Should come in handy for you.

Derek, you either need to hunker down like a dog behind that rock, or move to the tree just a few tiles to your right. You shouldn't be flanked if you hunker there, though, and any Sectoids that come out to get a range bonus can be picked off by us.

While I didn't find the XP gains in the data files, I found something that should be quite useful for you. Edited in a link in my previous post.

Crazy and Derek need to move.
I've taken the canister, remember? (Or is that a free action?)

I don't know about this game, but in XCOM: Enemy Within is is.

Oh. I read that that wrong (you need a half-move, but it's not used up). That's pretty odd though.

Is it odd? Pressing a button takes much less time than shooting someone.

No, the fact that you can't do it unless you have the turn it doesn't take.

In XCOM: Enemy Unknown, you could indeed do an action such as disarming a power node (an equivalent action to obtaining meld) without any actions remaining. This was removed in Enemy Within, or at least for Long War.

As this is a conversion of Long War, we're - Solymr is - remaining faithful to the source material in that aspect.

I'm giving one of the other players permission to move Derek this turn since it's taking a bit too long and this is a test.

Try not to suicide him tho.
