You can't blind undead, nor most cave creatures. It's better to let someone who's armed go ahead. There won't be much warning if you're ambushed. We need to stick together.
"Undead? The hell is that?" Slope rethinks for a moment. "Fine, if you want to go ahead, go first. I'll just stay back then, with my sunmotes."

"Let's save the fire for our enemies, yes?" Sučana said quietly. She was afraid the raised voices might have attracted a horde of undead to come running at them from the darkness.

((According to his dialogue, yup. It appears he's hanging near the back of the group.))

Slope stayed behind, sitting in the glow of the pair of sunmote orbs.

The others creep forward. For a while, all they can hear is the scuffing on their feet on the tiles and their breathing - and the voices. As they approach the sound becomes more distinct - it sounds like a monk's choir, as you might find in a church.

The hallway becomes brighter, until you no longer need the sunmote to light your way.

You find an old, metal door at the end of the corridor. Beyond it you can hear the singing, and bright light filters through the frosted glass above. It seems to flicker, as if cast by a flame.

"Alright. A bunch of monks...or something. I wonder if we should introduce ourselves?" Regina said quietly. She remembered the Archestones warning about the great evil that had torn the land asunder. They probably couldn't afford to trust too blatantly.

She wondered what they were singing about, first...

Action: Can I make out any words of the song?

Karia motioned for the others to come forward, sword still held just as ready.

'Introductions? You really must be royalty to be so hopeful.' She whispered.

Karia didn't have much experience in being summoned, but she certainly didn't plan to be the first to introduce herself.

'Introductions? You really must be royalty to be so hopeful.' She whispered.

"Quiet, I'm trying to make out what they're singing.

Hopefully it's a variation on 'Gods Save All Pretty Women, and Spare the Children of the Lamb, ye verily' and not 'I pledge my eternal soul to thee, oh Great Lords of Darkness, All Hail Murder and Chaos'"
She said, making one of her rare jokse.

Despite herself, Karia smiled. Hypocrisy and a sense of humour, revealed in a single breath. She hoped the former was a s rare as the latter.

Slope got up and collected the sunmotes he was juggling. He decided to tail after the party; they hadn't started screaming or shouting or fighting, by what he could hear. He sneakily followed them, all the way to the old metal door where they were at.

"Hey! What's behind that door?" Slope whispered.

The door is thick, and the drawn out tones of the - presumably - monks on the other side make it had to understand. You can only catch snatches of words.

Praise be the King...
Our...               ...savour
             ...the King...
To Daemons...
      ...of worship...

Something about the King and daemons, as far as you can tell.
