"Damn. I should've stayed back. They're obviously not nice, so what do we do?"

Kaira frowns at Slope.

'Can't tell that from a few words.' She pauses for a second.

'How about we go in, and if they try to kill us we kill them first?' An honest proposal, if not the most sophisticated.

"If they're not with us they're against us until we can prove that they're good company. Without getting us killed. And I doubt just waltzing in and hoping they're nice is going to be effective. I say we try to find another way in."

Check the surrounding area for maybe a hole or a passage way that I could fit through. Maybe it leads into the next room.

What a convenient gathering of words, Sučana thought...

"...Well, it's either go back and take the other path, or try and confront them...how about we send Mr. Slope ahead, to try and talk to them-or even find a way to sneak past? If they are not foes, it's easier for one man to talk or sneak his way through, than surprising them with our whole group. Though the mention of the King makes me a bit wary of them, for some reason...

If there's...trouble...he rushes back here. Then they all have to attack us in this narrow corridor, no matter how many of them there are. There's no reason for us to fight them where they can encircle us, if their intentions are hostile."
She reasoned.

Kaira nods quickly.

'Fair.'

Essel didn't think the chances of sneaking were good when they had no idea how big the room beyond was, not to mention he had to open a door to get inside which would surely attract attention. But maybe he was underestimating the skills of this roguish man.

Slope.. Can you really pull this off?

"It's up to you, Mr. Slope-if you are not confident in your abilities, we'll have to head back and try the other corridor. Given we know pretty much nothing about where we are going, there really is no right choice. The decision is entirely yours."

Listen to see exactly how many voices there are.

Slope looks back along the corridor. He sees no doors, but one of the walls seems weak - the mortar is almost dust, and the stone bricks are out of alignment. Perhaps it could be broken down, though it would be noisy - the choir is loud, though.

Essel tries to pick out voices. He estimates between ten and fifteen people are singing.

As for holding them in the corridor... the corridor is wide enough for two people to stand side by side, though only one could go through the door at any one time.

They're just singers, right..? There are about a dozen, maybe we could take them. What do you guys think?

"Probably. Or probably not. I have an idea, something like my previous plan. You guys are strong, you could probably knock down this weak wall I found earlier. The noise could probably distract them, enough for me to sneak through the door and sneak about. What I'm most worried about is what Essel said: a dozen guys. A sunmote could blind them easily, though."

Are they even bad guys? Maybe they're friendly. This is the Archestone's place after all, but then again the Archestone doesn't even talk to us, so I doubt it talks to them. Which means that even if they worship the rock they might not have the same goals as it. There's no perfect solution to this problem, but I think you'll all agree that we can't just go in blades swinging, not without knowing if we should actually be fighting these people.

I'd be happy with going with Slope's plan and just avoiding them, but hostile or no, these people would be able to tell us about this world we're trapped in, and we need information more than anything else right now. I think we should go in and try to talk to them. If they're bad, then we fight and take a prisoner. If not, then we just have a friendly chat. What do you think?

Karia shrugged. She still wasn't convinced the Archestone was worth obeying.

"Yeah, probably not...you know, I think I'll do it. Someone has to go first. Mr. Slope clearly is not willing. Waiting here arguing just makes it more likely we are discovered in any case.

Be prepared to fight if, for example, I return rapidly fleeing a band of demonic monks."
she said in a dry tone.

Action: Place my blade on the floor and go out and greet the kindly, peaceful mountain monks. If they instead have claws and horns and the intent to use them, run back into the corridor and pick my sword back up.

Diplomacy 101!~

((OOC: Note, this is probably a dumb action, but otherwise we're gonna spend alot of time circular arguing before going back up the fricken corridor.

Also, the GM nudged me, it was this or plotkill! I swear!))

((Yeah go for it. I don't think you'd be unjustified in having your sword on you if they really are reasonable people.))

Alright. We'll wait here.

Wait for Sucana to return.
