TWO TURNS HAVE PASSED
(I assume I got out of my pod fine?)

"What type of weapons should we use first when we get attacked?"

Check to make sure I have my gear equipped. Make sure I'm holding my laser rifle and get on a jeep.
On the jeep you go!

(I assume I got out of my pod fine?)

"What type of weapons should we use first when we get attacked?"

Check to make sure I have my gear equipped.
"Start with light lasers if you can."

Ok, everybody made it down here it seems. Get into your gear, then people with tech skills and the assaultsuit help with the malfuntioning pods. The rest get the jeeps ready and set up a perimeter. Do not go far or alone."

use manip to carefully free the stuck assaultsuit. Then observe around with cameyes, see if there's anything that looks like a nerve cluster, or if I spot a place that might hold one.

((PW, how do the synthflesh gunner bots work again? Do you need to roll to use/command them? Can you tell them to listen to someone who doesn't have +2 aux, does that work?))

You manage to tear most of the cage away from the assault suit.

As per your cam eyes, they're not very helpful; the skin is just a mass of warmth on thermal and x-ray reveals nothing but a fairly homogenous gray with no real defining characteristics in it.

The gunner bots are like drones or anything else. You roll aux to enter a command. That command can be a continuous action, ie guard this area or guard this person, but each new command requires an aux roll.

"Yessir." Ryan steps gingerly out of his pod, making sure to avoid stepping on the moth-like antennae.

Examine moth-like antennae appendages. Be sure not to breathe on them. Then go hop into the back of a jeep and keep an eye on the surrounding area.
Well considering you're in a space suit, not breathing on them will be easy.

You bend down to examine them. The tiny hairlike cilia move to point in your direction, waving slowly like the tendrils of a sea anemone.
You back up, away from the thing and hop into a jeep.

After the pod opened without trouble, Zayne breathed a sigh of relief, climbing in the back of the jeep with Ryan, "I'm Zayne." He offered Ryan a hand to shake.
Jeeped

Kyle climbs out and adjusts his rope that he's slung over his shoulder. Duct tape and and rope should always be on the top of a supply list you know.
You get out and get your gear ready to go.

Grab my kit and put it on, then try and yank Tek's door open.

If I can't, just climb into the jeep driver's seat and give the guys in the back a thumbs-up

Tek's door is sealed behind a layer of ablative armor, and then a bolted metal hatch. You ain't pulling that open.

into the jeep you go.

Morul Migurkeshin, Second in Command.
"Sensory organs, most likely. It wonders what just hit it. Now, let's get moving before it hits back."

If I could keep pace with the jeeps on foot, run next to it, otherwise, pile in, scanning the area with the thermal mode on the cameyes.

((Hrmm.. wonder what the top speed of my new robobody is.))
You can keep up on foot.

Ian was fairly impressed by this world. This organism had made the world it's own, and was very good at it. He picked up some of the goopy 'flesh' in his hand and examined it's consistency as it fell to the ground.

EDIT: First, try to help tek (or whoever) out of their pod. If everyone else has that handled then do below. If that is too much for one turn I'll just do the stuff below later, this can take priority.

Do the above, is the flesh thick and viscous, thin and very fluid? Also, try to find sort of camera function on my wristpad, take pictures and various reading of the landscape, air, and those sprouts((You don't have to tell me what they are, I just want to have my character take the readings if possible)).Ensure that my equipment is on. Stand roughly 5 meters from the jeeps and keep watch, have my gauss pistol ready to fire, only fire in the case of absolute emergency. Look out for any movement, or strange / different behavior of the landscape. Once we are ready to move out, get in the jeep.

"General, would you consider microwave amps in the same category as light lasers? They both cause damage by heating up matter, if I understand correctly."

I'm gonna assume you're literally grabbing a handful of the skin substance, not the goo flowing out of the damaged skin.

The Skin feels a lot like mushroom flesh; soft, easy to crush and break into pieces, but solid. The goo that leaks from it has the consistency of syrup. The suit records everything via the faceplate camera, so you make sure it gets a good look at the skin stuff.

You notice that the damaged area where you pulled the flesh from is starting to sprout tiny, finger thick tendrils.

"The hatch did not open in Tek's pod.  Hmm."

Consider the best way to get the pod open.
Cutting it would be the fastest, but you'd have to be careful on the second, inner hatch. It does have explosive pins in place to blast it off.

Help get the stuck out of their pods
You could try to pry it off with your doomarms. They might work. Or it might go horribly wrong.

Tendrils, only a few inches long but thick as your thumb, are starting to sprout from the areas of damaged skin.

"People, do not take samples unless ordered to. Or at least announce what you intend to do and wait for confirmation. Need I remind you that one false move means potential disaster? Anyways, now that you did do it, Ian, try to check if you can see any clues as to where the nerve cluster might be, then get into the jeep. Iveso, you tell the gunnerbots to follow the jeep for now, and to hold fire.

Morul, quickly check if we have everyone. Once they're all on the jeep, we'll move west, away from the drop zone, in case ripping up the ground pissed it off."

Check EKG. Try to get the last pod open. Use aux if possible, if not use manip to rip it off.

Think about where the cluster might be, judging from what I know about it and the terrain.

((PW, by the way, there were supposed to be 2 jeeps per team. Unless 1 is enough to transport everybody (sans giant warmachines)?))

Stay out of the way while Miya opens the pod, then once it's open help Tek out if he needs help.
Then get in the second jeep.

When Iveso was finally free from the cage, he stepped forward and saluted briefly."Thank you. Don't know what happened to the freaking cage. And you got it!"
Tell the gunnerbots to follow the jeep and to hold fire.

"Erg... Sorry boss! I just saw the skin and I thought... nevermind. Could I slice open a chunk of the flesh and peel it away to see the underlying structure, or should I hold off?"

Ian stood and thought about the situation for a moment, then remembered that the general didn't answer his question when asked earlier.

"General, would you consider microwave amps in the same category as light lasers? They both cause damage by heating up matter, if I understand correctly."

Quickly look for some sort of underlying structure before the tendrils cover up the wound, then hop in the jeep. Also, light up two bluesmokes, if that is somehow possible in a suit.

Carefully try and get the pod open in one of the safer ways possible, not the fastest.  Stop immediately if someone else starts to open the pod.

Hold on to the jeep, in case it starts driving.

Keep a hold of the jeep. Keep an eye on the horizon. Do I get a good feeling here, beyond the fact of "Oh god giant planet fungus"?

Continue helping people out of there pods if some are still stuck, otherwise enter a Jeep, preferred drivers seat, but Amy spare seat will do
