OK, The Idea is that The Forum/Players control the actions of the leader of a group of survivors, Who In Turn influences The Group's Actions, after nearly Every Non-Planet Destroying Apocalyptic Scenario Occurs, With The Exception Of Extraterrestrial Invaders, For Balance Purposes. Individual Scenarios will, Of Course, Be Seriously Toned down and Localized to certain Regions. 

For Example: Zombies might be a Huge Threat in Brazil, But Western America's More Concerned about surviving the nuclear radiation and demon hordes, Meanwhile, Japan/Coastal China are worrying about the Robot Uprising, And so on. Keep in mind that this is just an example, The Actual Game will be different from this Example.

Gender: It's.. Actually pretty hard to tell. Ambiguous even. People tend to just use whatever pronoun they like, and Kiri doesn't correct them either way, finds it amusing even.
Group Race: Kiri would like to correct you and points out you mean sapient. Anything alive is sentient. Humans are sapient. Kiri, as with most of his group are Kitsune. Kiri also has no idea how that happened so don't ask about it. Gives weird thoughts involving some large bearded person with a pointed hat.

What of the CAPITALISM!?!

Well, one of the lesser known Apocalyptic scenarios is: "Capitalism failed, and everything has gone to hell in a hand-basket" (basically Great Depression on steroids), I'm sure it's happening somewhere in this world.
It's the mirror counterpart to "Socialism failed, and everything has gone to hell in a hand-basket" (which, as you know, is the plot of Atlas Shrugged.) I'm assuming that's also happening somewhere.
