Chance, brushing off his cloak as he entered the Lodge, stood at attention.
: "Are we prepared to return, Prince Aliberti?"

"Yes, you have to energize the trinket. _{And I didn't want to ask Miranda.}"

Pulling his Fire tome into one hand, Chance held his other empty hand out.
: "Apologies I was unable to reach it the prior time... I am quite unable to see the brooch myself, if you could hold it out for a moment..?"

Miranda would have stuck her tongue out, but was too busy shivering.

"Is there any truth to those rumors?"

"Not that it's any of your business, but no. The prince is engaged and as far as I know quite happy with the engagement. He and I have just been friends for many years. That's all."

"...I see. I won't bother you about it again."

Noel tilted his head toward the group to indicate he was heading back, then did so.

Kerr didn't quite know how to take the expression on Noel's face right now but gave a shrug.

"Great. Yeah, lets go."

He headed back towards the rest of the group, sticking next to his brother and away from both Noel and the prince.

[Haspen]

Prince handed the rose bracer thingy to Chance.

"Here you go."

: "Very well. Stay close, everyone." Chance, carefully this time, focused as he started to transfer magic from the fire tome into the brooch.

Nothing happened. Prince Aliberti was dumbfounded before he remembered something.

"Oh right." With that, he pushed the button, exposing the wires and the gears, the latter which begun to whirl and spin. "Try now?"

"Incidentally," Ayz mentioned to Irios, "We need to talk once we have returned."
