"Two weeks...? How strange."

Ayzebel was, in fact, rather neutral towards it. Not like she had any friends to miss outside of Irios, and he would always be with her. Always, so there was no cause for concern that end.

The relative quiet was shortly and sharply punctured by a loud gasp from the jewelry-bedecked girl, hand closed very tightly over her lucky gem.
:"It must have been a curse! I knew something was off about that place! Oh nooo..."

Chance, his arm still outstretched, stood still.
: "..." After a moment, he let his arm fall to his side, ".....Why."

"Tw-Two weeks? But how?" Aurelian was stunned, not sure how else to take the news, stunned into silence.

Kerr had placed his arm around the prince's shoulder reflexively when the man had seemed like he'd been about to fall. He still seemed unaware of what he was doing, as he stared at the man in shock. It seemed impossible but...

"Magic. "

He said the word like a curse.

Other than the leftover panic he felt when Miranda smashed her hand into the bracelet, Irios was unfazed by the news. The only person the former orphan cared about had been with him the entire time after all.

"Must be something to do with world hopping."

"Two weeks. Impossible. It's crazy. I have to speak with Father immediately. Even if only to cancel my funeral!" He made few steps toward the door before Royal Priest coughed.

"Uhh, Prince?... I know you're in a hurry, but-"

"Oh, right, the shard, I don't- Ayzebel has it. Ayzebel please pass the shard to Mullah. I will see you all later. Kerr, you in charge." Aliberti left the Hall of Pillars almost running.

"You people didn't spend two weeks in another world? Are you sure?""

Mirandaa let go of the princes arm and sheepishly scooted as far away as possible when the High Priest ran up to him.

"But we were only there for a few hours!"

This wasn't her fault was it?

"Well... At least we got the shard. Its not all bad." Aurelian tried to reason. "Was it us traveling that took so long? We had two trips, one there and then back. Maybe it takes a week per trip? ...Or something? I don't know." The knight sighed in defeat, not sure what could of caused this.

"I guess there isn't anything for it but to move on."

"Quite certain."

She handed over the lead box, appearing it once again from her cloak.

That done, she turned in a single smooth movement, drawing the axe out from under her cloak and resting it on her shoulder.

"Giuseppina Abategiovanni."

She was snapped out of her somewhat-despairing reverie by the sound of her name (and said correctly, no less).
:"H-huh...?"

"I located this axe in the ruin of ghouls. Take it."

Give axe to Giuseppina Abategiovanni

Irios was confused as to why the two weeks they'd missed were so important to everyone. He asked Aur because the man seemed to have calmed down before everyone else.

"I don't see why everyone cares so much about being gone for two weeks. Sure, the moon's that much closer but we've managed to make progress on the orb."

Giuseppina gasped and fumbled the axe, nearly completely dropping it.
:"From the place with the things?! That place didn't seem right, who knows what could be wrong with this thing or how it could be possessed or something like that??"

At being asked the question, the knight scratched the back of his neck. "I can't speak for everyone, but its part weird discontinuity, and mostly family and friends who thought we might of been dead for two weeks. I mean, two weeks doesn't matter too much to me beyond the fact that its weird, but I don't want to think about what it might of put my family through." Aur was silent for a moment.

"Prince Aliberti probably has the hardest of it. We had (and still have) the hopes of a lot of people riding on our success. They thought he failed. The grand alchemist died because he thought he killed the prince."

"But for the most part what's done is done. I find it kind of silly to waste time lingering over lost time."
