Open the box away from herself.

The box have been opened.

Inside the box, there was a small green glass... well, two glass sticks bound together with more glass at both ends. In the very middle of the sticks' length, a small glass, similar to a needle, was placed, the sharp points of the shard trapped in the glass.

"I would say this is it."

Aur had been inspecting the door, contemplating the very thoughts Kerr had. "Could be strange and mystical treasure. Maybe the shard even. Could be a horde of those things. More vicious than the last, possibly? Hm, could be trapped too." The knight swayed side to side with each contemplation.

"I say we open it! I'm always terrible with patience. And surprises. And secrets. And this is all three hidden behind a door."

Chance, who had been recollecting himself, slowly approached the brothers.
: "I would not advise it unless we know the shard is that way still." He stopped in front of the door, looking directly at it, as if trying to look through it, "Our foray into this land has gone on rather long, and I am sure it is taking its toll on some people here."

[Swordstar]

"Hmm, he has a point, brother. We should be careful. While the door does present... interesting possibilities, we don't want to risk our lives for nothing. I'm pretty sure mother would murder me if I let anything happen to you."

[F.O.E.]

Miranda creeped up to behind Ayzebel and looked over her shoulder.

"Why would you put a box in a box?"

"Perhaps they were going for irony."

He turned to Ayzebel.

"We should maybe show that to the prince."

[Xanmyral]

The knight sighed and relented at the two dissenters. "Fine. I bet its past the door though, otherwise we probably would of found it by now. Glad to see you're okay Chance, you took a nasty hit from that thing."

"Funny, she said the same thing to me for you." Aur tapped his brother in the arm lightly with his knuckles as he laughed. "We can take on anything this place has to throw at us, but home might be another thing."

[Furtuka]

"Going for what now?"

"Ooh, is that shiny thing the shard?"

"It seems likely it is."

She headed to the prince, pulling the box from out her cloak again and opening it for display.

"I have discovered this, Liege; it seems like as not to be the shard."

[CrimsonEon]

: "'Okay' may be stretching it. Fiends and bandits are no issue alone provided a healer is nearby, but this environment is very taxing on my senses. Such that I fear I may go blind." He paused a moment, then apparently realized the irony of his statement, "Blind again, I mean."
: "Regardless, it seems your abilities have come to help you both here. I can only assume your regenerative abilities are lending you much strength in this energy-rich place. Is that ability perchance from your parents?"

Kerr laughed at Aur's comment.

"Seriously. Mother would never let us escape if she found out what we're doing here."

He then blinked in confusion and looked at Chance.

"Our abilities? I've got nothing special going on here..."

[CrimsonEon]

: "No abilities?" Chance tilted his head as he looked over Kerr, "From my perspective, your head is surrounded in a cloud of magic, moreso than the background. It's not the same as your brother, but surely that is indicative of something..?"
: "Perhaps... something that affects your prowess in battle? Or... A memory affecting spell?!"
: "That... would be bad, hold a moment, I need a clearer view." Chance quickly pulled out his tome and struck his hand across it, generating some sparks.

Kerr winced.

"_{Ugh, that damn bet...} I have dyed hair. It was done by magic to allow for... the unusual coloring and also so it would last longer."

[Furtuka]

Miranda noticed the cloth lying discarded on the ground and stuffed it into her pocket. It was a nice cloth.
