Hildebrand moves to (16,14), picks up Chance, then cantos to (21,13).

: "Come on lad, let me give you a lift. Your friends ran off on their own."

Kerr frowned as he noticed the others heading off in a different direction.

"Prince Alonse... I don't know what the rest of our group is up to, but at the very least we should make sure that we meet up with them all before we proceed much further. Maybe Ayz is looking for something that could help us in the fight, but it seems foolish for us to push too far forward without all the strength we can gather."

"Kerr has a point. It would be much easier to break their ranks with our full strength than with just a handful of us."

After killing the thing that she had been facing, Giuseppina found herself rather confused and so headed out to meet the two galloping out from their way.
:"Oh, Chance, do you kniw what's going on? I'm... a little lost, but it looks like some of us are congregating here? Let me just... help you down here..."
Giuseppina grabbed Chance, and being a lot stronger than she really looked, hoisted him right bodily out of the saddle and carefully to the ground.
20, 13, grab Chance and drop him on the opposite side.

Chance, allowing Hildebrand to pull him up to the saddle, nodded.
: "Thank you. Though I don't think it as 'running off on their own' so much as-"
It wasn't two seconds after being carried down the hallway that he was pulled off by Giuseppina.
: "Wuh-! Erm, please be careful!"
Chance took a moment to steady himself on the ground. Flustered, he brushed his robes and readied his Blaze tome again.
: "Well, as I was about to say; the enemies here appear to be extremely weak to my fire magic. I figure with some help I could flank and remove any other enemies before they become a problem. We'll need as much breathing room as possible if we want to find the shard here."

:"Oh. Should I, uh... put you back on the horse?"
She prepared to grab him again.

Chance, sensing the movement, flinched in a slight panic.
: "I er- no that won't be necessary. I think Sir Hildebrand has brought me as far as I need to be."
He quickly casted about for another subject to avoid being (wo)manhandled again.
: "I apologize for asking, but; you said you were the daughter of an illustrious merchant, correct? I can't help but wonder- are you serving as a mercenary, or as a personal favor?"

:"Oh, uh, it's... it's kind of a test."

: "A test..? That's most unexpected." Chance straightened up, suddenly interested, "I would not think a merchant's test would involve this kind of work. Then again you are clearly a talented fighter in your own right, so perhaps it's more for that reason?"
He muttered to himself for a couple moments.
: "Oh! Apologies, I should know better than to be rude in speculating. But it is interesting; I would think of this job as something of a test for me as well."

:"It's, uh, well, it's not really a test from my dad, it's more of... a test from me."
"But you think I'm a talented fighter?"

: "Certainly. I have seen plenty of evidence of it and none to the contrary. There is enough force behind your axe throws for even me to sense them. And as a test to yourself, I can also understand. I alone chose to come here, and it will be my decision when I return. I may be able to return home, but I personally can't bear to return with no more knowledge, power or experience than when I left."

"So basically you are saying you need weapons? Hmm..."

"I don't think that anyone will miss few weapons from the palatial armory, sire."

"Beman is right. There are some storerooms nearby, just right-ways from the main corridor; some weapons and medicinial items are stored there. I do not have the keys to these rooms but I won't complain if some doors get vandalized, if you follow my thought. I will show you; Beman take your brothers and keep an eye on the corridor, while I will go with our allies."

"Of course, sire... please, however, at least take Geman with you." The Prince nodded.
