"There are... well I know of eight prominent Schools of Thought, and Valonian School is the most influential as it is also the oldest. There is, for example, The Way of Kalos, who preached asceticism and cultivation of family values. Or the School of Arco, a splinter philosophy of Kalos, with greater emphasis on morality of oneself..." The Prince let out a chuckle.

"I'm surprised, though. Not only you're handsome, and are a skilled warrior, but it seems you enjoy scholarly debacles as well? Or is it just curiosity?"

"I mean... I'm not uninterested in scholarly things but it's... it's mostly curiosity. That is... Well, back in our country... most men would never even consider an arrangement like that. Especially if they were highly ranked. It's viewed as wrong and while people can get away with it, it's simply not talked about openly. So to hear all of this..."

"Oh. It's culture differences, then. And I'm not shocked to hear that, though; after all, Tahuran Republic just over the border to the east is similarily strict about relationships. On other hand, they practice polygamy..."

Noel, of course, was shadowing the pair and writing down everything. It was certainly of some interest to him, anyway. He wasn't about to draw undue attention to himself, however; it seemed given time Kerr would eventually ask everything he was also curious about. However, the prince had asked him a question, so he answered.

"I'm fine, thank you. Please, continue your conversation with Kerr; I don't want to interrupt."

"Indeed. We've managed to take out quite a few of these enemies, but many more stand between us and our goals. Lets not waver now."

Aur moved forward to [10,19] and held the halberd out defensively towards the enemies. The knight eyed the skeletal axeman from behind his helmet, considering it the larger threat.

Aur looked to the side at the question, flinched, then up to meet the eyes (presumably, Aur's were hidden under his helmet) of the horseman.

"Aurelian Wolfgar, member of Prince Aliberti Yosif Zorostrian's personal guard." It was an automated response, which he adjusted moments later to be more personable.

"I prefer Aur, however. Things happened a bit fast so we never got introduced before we left. This is certainly amazing, isn't it?" He looks back to the front, the enemies look about to move forward soon.

: "Aur it is, then. I am Hildebrand from Ormia, and it is an honor to make your acquaintance."

Aur gave a short laugh. "Nor I! I wanted to travel and see the world, but I never figured that world would be plural. See new sights, meet new people, fight strange enemies, save our world. What more could a soldier want? We'll have to catch you up, Noel should be helpful there. He should have notes of all our previous adventures." Changing topic for the moment, Aur asked the mounted knight a question.

"Ormia? That's a fair bit away. Haven't seen you at the castle, you a new arrival?"

: "I'll be sure to ask Noel about it all later, once the battle is over. But to answer your question, yes I had arrived just before we left our world behind. When word of the rebellion reached Ormia, I gathered my men-at-arms and we rode for the capitol as quickly as we could. Obviously we arrived too late to do any good." The mounted knight paused, before asking (rather delicately), "I must know; you did fight the rebels, yes?"

"Yes, for a short time. They... There was a lot going on that admittedly went over my head--I'm not much one for politics--so I admit I'm probably not the best one to ask. For what I understood: we were sent into a trap by a turncoat, captured, and Prince Aliberti was forced to sign a peace charter between the nations." Aur tried to explain it as best he could, face hidden behind his helmet.

"Things... Sort of went from there. Nobody was particularly happy. Most of us wanted to resume the hunt for shards, since if we fail that the rebellion wouldn't frankly matter much. You'd think others would be more supportive trying to save everyone."
