Aur deflated a little at his brothers comment but perked right back up to attention, albeit continuing the quite conversation between the brothers. If there was one thing he learned in the militia, it was the secret-yet-sacred soldier's art of speaking quietly while looking attentive to whatever the important people are doing.

"Karr, it'll be fine. Promise. I wouldn't disrespect the pull you used to get me here, I remind myself of the favor you did me."

There was a few moments of silence. "Although, Uh, I have to say I'm surprised your hair doesn't embarrass you more. I thought you had been pranked by a mage or something when I first saw you."

"Why'd I have to make that stupid bet..."

He sighed, and gave a slight shrug.

"It wasn't my favorite thing in the world at first, but you get used to it pretty quick. Besides, if I act like it embarrasses me, it'll just draw even more attention."

And the prince likes it so I can't care too much...

"If you like I can help you pick out a helmet or something. Maybe a coif... ...I guess that would mean you'd look embarrassed by it though. Er, never mind the offer then."

"What in the world was the bet even about?"

"My name is Miranda of tribe Everrun, here to protect you on your journey your uh, your highness."

She paused for a second before remembering to give a bow.

If it wasn't for his training, Aurelian would of laughed. "Well, now you got me curious."

Hafiz was quite surprised he was addressed before his introduction. Well, the prince seemed a straightforward type, as rumored. That could be worked with.

"I am Hafiz Ajam, Your Highness." He bowed.

"I've served the Empire as a scout for a good time, though I was most recently assigned to aid the capital's militia. I suppose you could consider me a 'Reservist'."

"Aah, that explains a lot." He looked at each of his new companions once again, giving Hafiz a longer glance, and then he turned toward Grand Alchemist and Royal Priest.

"That would be all for formalities. Onto the task, please." The two elders bowed gently, before the Royal Priest began to speak.

"As you all know, the great and infallible Zorostrians have been scouring the world in search for pieces of the Orb of Eternity for eight centuries. Up till fifteen years ago, when our scriers and mystics determined that there are no pieces left on the continent."

"Despite the New Moon getting closer. Now the search is being resumed, why? Have the mages of previous generation lied to us?"

"No, Prince... and yes, a bit. They were right that there are no pieces on this world, but they weren't right that there are no pieces left at all." Prince blinked slowly.

"I'm lost, Mullah."

"What I mean is that there are some pieces left in other worlds. Continents we have not discovered. Planar dimensions of magic that no one ventured to. Worlds we do not know about yet. Maybe in the stars, or maybe deep underground, or maybe in some other universe or celestial sphere that our small world is enclosed in? Esoteric scrying brought us an answer; we need to send someone to these other worlds, inhabited by other people and creatures beyond reasoning, and recover the remaining pieces. It took us fifteen years to come up with devices and rituals and incantations that could transport someone from this world, to the worlds which contain the fragments."

"That's... that's fairly exciting thought. No wonder my- King have decided to send someone like me. So, how shall we accomplish this all? This... miraculous travel to other places?"

"The transporation magic have been always a thing. I, together with many scholars, and members of the Orders of Mystus, just had to extesively improve it."

"And the Alchemists under my watchful eye have created two artifacts that shall aid you in your search." The humble Grand Alchemist stepped up to the Prince and handed him two items: a silvery mirror with black glass, and a small brooch with closed rose made of gold.

"Listen carefully, Prince, and listen you all just in case. This mirror, when rubbed, shall point you to the crystal, and with it help our ritual shall bring you to the proximity of the fragment in the first place. The mirror will not tell you the distance or what obstacles lie between you and the fragment, so be prepared. The brooch has a small button on it." The Prince turned the brooch upside down, and indeed, there was a button near the base of the rose.

"When you press the button, the rose will open and the mechanism of brass and magical gemstones shall start its work. Then you must have one of your mages in your group to energize it. It shall act like a beacon for our scries and mystics, who shall then perform the ritual of return and bring you back. When the rose is closed, the brooch will use its inner magics to translate your speech to that of the locals." The Prince pocketed the mirror and put the brooch onto his left wrist.

"I will be feeling better not knowing the dangers of a mishap or wrongly cast spell. Mullah, Aldbaran, cast your magic. We're all-" The Prince glanced at his companions, his retainers.

"We're all ready to go." The two elders looked at each other, and then Royal Priest clapped his hands twice.

A bunch of magicians, all robed and hooded, entered the hall. Or maybe they were waiting in the shadows all the time. Together with Royal Priest, they formed a circle around Prince and his group, while Grand Alchemist stepped away from the ritual.

"Good luck, Prince Aliberti!" Grand Alchemist spoke with cheerful voice. Prince Aliberti smiled, while Mullah and his magicians began to chant in unison.

"I'm Zorostrian Prince, and I have all confidence in myself and my retainers, Grand Alchemist! I don't need-" Bright yellow-pink-red-blue-white light flooded the eyes of everyone, before dissipating as quickly as it have appeared...

Powerful winds blasted white sand and black dust onto Prince Aliberti and his retainers. They were now standing amidst ruins. Ruins of once great and advanced city; large stone buildings were encased in glass or had metal wires and pillars protruding from them. Magnificent shiny towers climbed into the skies, far beyond any Zorostrian watchtower ever did, their walls charred and crumbled from once fierce conflict. Black road of dull material stretched in the west, thinly covered with sand, with small craters interrupting it's almost ideally straight course.

"...luck." The Prince lifted his gauntlet-covered hand to protect his eyes from a gust of wind and dust. He then looked at the strange buildings of alien architecture.

"I did not expect THAT kind of... bizarre." Suddenly, a pile of rubble moved and a ragged, tough looking man, quite hairy, looked at the Prince. The stranger was standing in midst of a small building that once maybe was a house.

"Oh, uh, locals. Let's try. Greetings! Do not be afraid! I am- wait!" Prince looked at the man who for some strange reason began to run away!

"Boooooss! Boooss, someone's on our turf! Fancy guys! I think dem from Chicago!!" Suddenly, Prince and his entourage had a whole bunch of shaggy, unwashed and rather angry strangers staring at them.

"I ain't got time for dis again! Gett'em chopped up and loot their corpses! Is da last time they get on our turf like dat!" The gang of strangers prepared for combat.

"Well, I don't know what they're talking about to be honest, but I understand they're not friendly. Fight time it is!"

: "Wait, before we begin, a question about-"
Chance didn't get an opportunity to voice further, as the overflow of magic surrounded him and the others. By the time they arrived, Chance was fumbling around, reeling.
: "Aurrgh, still... spinning. I may be unwell." The mage dropped to his knees, apparently having trouble keeping his balance.

"Oh. Oh wow." Soldier bearing faded away from the young knight as he looked around in wonder and awe. He couldn't believe what he was seeing.

"This. Is. Awesome!" He couldn't help but exclaim quietly to himself. They're in another world! Jeeze, he wanted to see beyond Miccah, but this? Its amazing.

...Right! There's a fight and he should do something about that. Aur rolled his shoulder as he felt the intensive burst of magic around them fade away, making his whole body tingle.

Aur moved to catch up with his brother, taking a stand by his side at (6,8)

Giuseppina swayed on her feet with the semi-unexpected transportation, looking up stunned at the whole... well... everything.
:"Wh-whoooaaaa..."
She blindly followed the group, still looking up at all the strange towers.

"Dear me, I've never expected anything like this to occur... It's like a whole new world.. If the world was sand and ruins."
Maribel looked around, seeing more of those unwashed thugs, along with a fairly cracked wall. She didn't really want to get too close to them, who knows what they'll do.
"Hm, if we want to avoid those thugs, this wall seems fairly unstable.."

Rashida was half asleep during that meeting, a rather common state to be fair, where she was expecting to be dragged along a dull journey like those she had heard about while studying under the Order where seeker after seeker had failed to find the holy pieces of the Eternity Orb only to return with naught but clay pots and other objects created during the era of Angels. Thus, she didn't start to catch up until a moment before their party was flung into another universe.

After momentarily blinking in surprise. "This is... different."

She looks around the battlefield and makes a decision fairly quickly however.

"I'll make another path."

As she wanders east, her eyes begin to glow with dark magical energy as she channels the power of her tome into a bolt of energy pointed at the cracked wall.

"..."

Move 6-12. Black Fire the cracked wall at 8-12.
