Kerr frowned and moved closer to the prince. Quietly, he commented,

_{"It seems unwise to me to bring someone that we barely know into our world. Especially when his kind appear only in children's stories. Can you imagine the reaction people would have?"}

_{"Yes, I know, and that's why he isn't going to leave the Palace or even the hall. And if this works without problem, we can send him back and wait till they send someone else."}

Kerr frowned slightly but then sighed and nodded.

"Very well. As always, I will respect your ruling."

[Xanmyral]

The mirror was fixed faster than Aur expected, the man putting his minor repairs on hold to hastily don his plate once more. As he was hurriedly reattaching the spaulders, the knight realized he was now thankful for all the monotonous training he once hated of donning and removing one's armor quickly and effectively.

[Haspen]

"Now, don't you frown at me like that, Kerr." Prince Aliberti gave his friend a soft pat on the shoulder. "It will be allright." Then he turned to Artificer Nathal.

"I will let Akk come with us, but I cannot promise anything."

"Thank you." The elderly artificer bowed his head in gratitude just as Akk returned.

"They have agreed."

"I see. I am ready."

"Splendid! Chance-" But alas, Chance looked as if he was dozing off standing.

"Miranda, could you? Just be delicate this time." With that, Prince Aliberti held out the rosy brooch to the punchmonkwoman.

[GiglameshDespair]

Miranda looked up from where she had been practicing her forms in the corner.

"Huh? Oh yeah sure!" Yay she was helping again!

She ran up to the prince and drew back her arm, focusing her energy as always. Swinging it forward she-

-stopped just before impact, remembering what happened last time. And then one-inch punch-poked the brooch with her middle knuckle, releasing her magic.

Prince Aliberti tensed there for a moment... then white-blue-red-pink-bright yellow lights flooded the eyes of everyone present. It was happening!...

...and next moment there was a thunderous boom and a pained, animalistic scream as the centaur went up in flames in the middle of the ritual hall, as apprentices, and, for some reason, a host of palace guards, surrounded the place.

The body, burning hot white, crashed upon Kerr! Took Aliberti a moment to notice.

"Kerr! Akk! No!"

"Remove the body! Remove the body, heal prince's friend!" The old man screamed as it was too late for Akk, but not too late for Kerr! Some apprentices used magics to put out the flames but nothing could mask the horrid smell of burnt hair and skin of the poor centaur. The guards then dragged the charred body off Kerr, who was immediately worked upon by apprentices.

"W-What have you done, old man!"

//Akk has been brutally killed.
Route B+ embarked upon!

The soldier was barely conscious and still unsure what had happened.

For the second time in about as many minutes, Noel's left hand went to his face as his right rested on his hip, his head lowered in disgust at the situation.

Fantastic. Now we can't be certain if this is going to happen to someone every single time we use the damn thing.

"Perhaps we should have our scholars look at what that old man has done to the mirror. For obvious reasons."

Ayzebel had drawn her sword, and held it low and ready. Her eyes darted too and fro.
She hovered protectively close to Irios.

"What- why! What happened to that guy. He was nice-ish to us!"

"AKK! KERR! What is going on? What happened?! Why did Akk burst into flames? Is Kerr going to be alright?" Aur was bewildered and confused.
