"You... like flavourless food? How odd, but then, I imagine it's what the Sect feeds you. Bland comestibles could be one of the reasons you seem so unhappy all the time. Perhaps when we get home you should ask the palace chefs to roast you a deer."

"I said acceptable, not good. Food needs not be flavoursome to fulfill its purpose."

Kerr sat down at the table near the princess and hacked himself a rib or two. He started to eat it and gave a shrug.

"Certainly not the worst food I've ever had. Like that one time the king decided you and your brother needed to learn how to cook. Remember that disaster?"

"If I remember correctly it was you who suggested the spices for that one meal."

"Clearly Kerr is just as bad as we are." Reluctantly, Aliberti cut off a small rib and took a bite, his sister didn't indulge however.

"And yet my suggesting of a pound of red pepper flakes didn't cause you to question me at all..."

He shook his head. He still couldn't believe they had listened to him there. Ah well, it had been worth it to see the look on other people's faces when they ate it and hadn't wanted to offend the prince and princess.

Miranda took a piece and carefully poked at it before seeing the others dig in.

"Huh... not too bad for a... whatever it is."

"It's a waste of time, effort, and materials to not make food properly if you ask me."

[GiglameshDespair]

"No one did." She turned to Irios. "You should eat too, Irios."

[Furtuka]

Miranda nodded in agreement.

"Mfwuud ish gud for uor heelth." She said in between bites of rib before swallowing with a gulp.

"You gotta get what you can. That's what my folks always told me back home."

"...Unless it's like, really, really gross or something. Then the doggies can have it if they want it."

Despite himself, Irios had been gauging the others reactions to the food.

"Right," Irios said before chopping himself a few ribs and biting into them.

Giuseppina put some food on the table in front of her.... But for a decent minute didn't touch the ribs at all. Eventually, she tried to figure out how to eat it without actually messing up her hands... and of course this led to her just looking at it and moving halfway to grab it before withdrawing, for an absolutely painful amount of time.

"...is there a problem, Miss? They aren't poisonous."

:"Nooo... ...it's just that..."
Giuseppina creased her brow in frustration and reached towards the rib, before pausing two inches away again.
:"Hmm..."

Irios sighed at the display in front of him.

"Do you want my gloves?"

:"But I wouldn't want to dirty your things."
