Aurelian made a disgusted face as he tried to wipe the slime from his face. Then he learned that he's wearing heavy plating made out of the equivalent of GOLD in this place. It almost looked like the man shrunk in his armor and glance about nervously.

In the 'inn,' Aur stayed quiet and sat down at one of the four stools at the table, happy he could get off his feet comfortably for once. His aching legs thanked him profusely.

Giuseppina's folded handkerchief suddenly landed on the table about a half a foot from Aurelian, Giuseppina having lightly tossed it.

Irios laughed awkwardly.

"Yeah, she probably would."

A sudden realization dawned on him.

"Oh shit... How am I going to explain talking to you in private to her?"

"...Proselytizing?"

[F.O.E.]

"She probably wouldn't believe that... Oh I know, I'll just say I was finishing our talk from snow land."

"And we should probably head back in before she comes out here herself."

[SeriousConcentrate]

"Good idea."

Noel moved to the door and held it open, making a 'you first' gesture with his free hand.

[F.O.E.]

Irios pulled down his hood and nodded before walking inside and stopping by Ayzebel.

"You guys didn't eat without us, did you?"

[SeriousConcentrate]

Noel followed him in, shutting the door after himself, and made his way over to the group. Once there, he retrieved his journal from his robes and wrote down what he had learned so far about the inhabitants of this world and their... diet.

The knight gratefully took the handkerchief from the table and got what was left of the spit he had been unable to get off, along with that he smeared on his gauntlet trying to wipe it away. The red headed knight grinned at his benefactor.

"Thanks Guiseppina. I guess I owe you two handkerchiefs now." The grin was less full than usual. "More strange places. And apparently they think us sick? How strange. Although I guess I wouldn't be in that great of shape too if I spent all of my life underground. Or maybe I would be..." The man trailed off as he pondered.

[Haspen]

CHOP! CHOP!

And the gargoyle brought an enormous plate with two halves of ribcage, steaming after being freshly pulled from the fireplace and the dark red meat sweating with fat. He set the plate down on the table and left a small hatchet on the table.

"Bones are extra sturdy on these beasts. You can cleave separate ribs with this." He nodded at the hatchet, then returned behind his counter.

Aliberti and Rosana didn't look particularily hungry.

Noel took the hatchet and cut some meat away.

"For knowledge's sake, I suppose..."

After a few moments to pre-regret this decision, he took a bite.

[Haspen]

It had texture of well-rosted beef but rather bland taste.

"Is it, umm... tasty? _{Edible at least?}"

[SeriousConcentrate]

"It is... fine? It doesn't really taste of anything. Perhaps with seasoning or a sauce of some kind it would be palatable... but yes, it is edible enough."

Ayzebel watched Noel carefully for signs of poison or an allergic reaction. When she was disappointed, Ayzebel retrieved the axe and brought it down in a swift arc, hacking off some of the ribs. Without hesitation, she bit into the meat, chewed and swallowed.

"It is acceptable fare. Flavourless, almost."

:"Ehehe, I guess you do! It's a good thing for you I have a box of them at the castle, huh?"
:"And... eh. At least they're not the... cursed... things."
