Hi everyone,

So as the title would suggest I am interested in, attempting, to run a forum game at the moment. I would like about 5 players, give or take a few. The game would be set in a generic fantasy land with goblins, elves and dwarves and the players would adventure throughout the world going on dungeon crawls and killing monsters. The system that we will be using is Risus a system that was brought to my attention by another thread that was created yesterday.

If you would like to join please either post a complete character sheet or an IN.

Name: Shug the Archmage Barbarian
Description: Shug is both a barbarian chieftain and an archmage of an obscure school of magic, gifted in the arcane and simultaneously stupid. Shug would label his situation a paradox if he knew what paradox meant. His school doesn't currently have (and never had) any student and is close to shutting down. Now, using his magic and fists, he is trying to make a name for himself and his school, and getting enough gold to keep it afloat.

(4) Brain-dead Barbarian
(2) Treasure-hunter

(I've given a cursory inspection of the first one and a half pages and feel I am an expert)
Name: Dave David Davison
Description: As a child Dave shunned things like "friends" and "fun" instead experimenting with making oddities and magic traps. Eventually a unwaverably friendly classmate managed to get him into a grudging friendship. After graduation he joined The Holy Clergy of Ion in order to settle a bet by disproving the existence of gods. Despite both viewing and using "holy" magic he still stands by his non-beliefs.
Clichés: Runic Mage (4), Magitek Tinkerer (4), Atheist Priest (2)

I'll roll up a character, after I finish posting the turns for the other games I'm in.

Do we make the cliches on our own or do we need to read Risus to know what our options are? Can we use tropes instead?

Oh god, this game specifies courtroom antics as a defined form of combat?

Ah. Right then.

That was... Unexpectedly quick, the player limit has been increased to encompass everyone, anyone joining from now on will have to join a waitlist. I will create an IC thread and intro post for you guys, it shouldn't be too long, a day at most. On another note, you can use whatever you want as a cliché if you want to use a trope that's fine just make sure it fits within the fantasy genre. By the way Tawa, I expect multiple uses of the word objection from you.

Waitlist Application:

Baron Von Alucard, the Totally Not A Vampire (The Transylvanian Accent (That comes and goes as I will it) and Prominent Incisors Are Purely Coincidental, But Hold The Garlic If You Will, It Gives Him Stomach Pains):
The Baron claims to hail from a small Barony from a just as small country, where he was deposed by a peasant revolt; "As I lay asleep in my cof-bed, schey stormed vy castle, and tore down all the curtains! Can you believe it?! The vandals! I had to vlee with my vaithvul servant here, Igor, and vow ve search schese lands vor ze best curtains!" is his prefered way of describing his predicament. His claim to being a nobleman is skeptical, since no one he ever encounters has ever heard of his barony, or country for that matter, but he has the money to throw around, so people go with it. Besides that, something about him makes him rather attractive to the fairer sex, especially higher class women. He likes to claim that he has perfected it to an art, "No, a magic!" but perhaps it is just the contrast between him and his rather... misshapen servant, Igor, who always carries a supply of "Tomato Juice for the Baron's tonsils".
The Baron dresses in a long, black cape with a high collar, a white vest over a blood red traveling tunic, and jet black pantaloons that stay pristine, even after a long, dusty day on the road. He wears his hair slicked back and a very twirly mustache.

Clichés:
Totally Not A Vampire (3)
(Probably) Misunderstood Necromancer (2)
Nobleman of Questionable Nobility (2)
Seductionist (2)
Igor (1)

Likely Powers:
Raise the Dead
Seduce Ladies
Doesn't Have a Weakness to Sunlight
Can't Turn Into Bats or a Large Dog/Wolf
Can't Control the Minds of Others
Tell Igor to Deal With It.

Likely Tools:
Igor.
A midnight black carriage.
A sizable amount of wealth, suitable to his social class.
A signet ring.
An crystal amulet, filled with a few drops of blood, with which he makes his magics.
