"Yeaaah, we're not keeping this up. Maybe it'd be different if I had my manip, but since it decided to combust, let's blow this joint.
Charles, you can fly right? Just take our data and fly to the other shuttle as fast as you can. Go via the north, seems easiest. Just get their data and get out of here. If you see you won't make it, then at least destroy our data.
John, Han, fighting retreat, just keep 'em busy as long as you can. Maybe shoot Dubley if you can, john, he can fly as well it seems. Han, help me engage Lyra, I heard her jump up the shuttle, she should be near there."
Action:
Spray goop to the exit of the canyon, to block of the cat's escape. The, shoot to where I think Lyra is, avoid teammates and our data. While hitting her would be nice of course, the main aim is to prevent her from being able to use her amp by keeping her dodging and restraining the room he has to maneuver. Work together with Han to keep her busy and flush her out.
You spend 2 tanks of the goop and create nice tall speed bumb behind you. Not that it would stop a nimble cat.
Shoot where you think Lyra is? Your brilliant mind goes through several possibilities and you come in conclusion that she would rather take your data decrypter instead of killing you, because that is rather high priority target. Since there is good amount of rock between you and the shuttle you refrain from shooting. ((Also because you didn't specify what you are shooting with. Goop, namite, blaster, teleporter?))
climb up the rock face and move northwards along the edge of the plateu until I can see Miya. If he is bleeding out / unconsious, leave him be and wait for someone to come to try to help him - when they try to aid him microwave his chem thrower once they're both next to it, igniting the namite inside and giving them a funeral pyre. If Miya somehow treated himself and seems to be recovering, then microwave his namite without waiting for him to get assistance - unless I see the assistance coming and won't have to wait any real length of time to make the combo happen.
((Maybe the shock switches just broadcast a 'I am here' signal, but Steve is the only one who can actually access them and do stuff with them. So he can keep track of peeps even when their suits malfunction or something.))
((I'm still pretty darn sure that I just plain shouldn't be on the map right now. Same for Xan come to think of it. I see your justification's logic, but I don't buy it.
and I'm 100% sure that the four little stars shouldn't be on the map either))
((It's up to aos to decide if he wants to redraw his map and remove you, but maybe you could ask pw what those things can/cannot do to help your argument. Dunno about the stars.))
((Yep @ GM's judgement call. I think he probably just included Lyra to make it easier for him and myself to track her location.
((I know what the stars are, and they shouldn't be on the map unless someone has a camera on them. - though GM probably is showing them for the same reason he's showing Xan and Lyra.))
Running jump start into wall climbing doesn't go exactly well, because you fail to grasp hold and instead bounce yourself away from the cliff face. Even your catlike reorientation reflex fails and you fall down on your back. It damages optic fur on your back making you partielly visible, like a stain on a window.
It's probably because of that what makes Charles shoot at you. Thankfully he misses. Han however doesn't miss. You see, old habits die hard. No matter how much you upgrade your body, your mind is still that of shy librarian. So when you see him running towards you murder in his eyes you completely freeze in place. It might been a lucky swing, but he hit you exactly where your brain is. Was. Now your brain is a mess on canyon floor.
Acquire data. Rapidly ascend up and Charisma roll everyone (this time, aim to distract) discharge the charge shot at any enemies detected (preference on non-visible ones and ones with no visible weapon) before quickly performing evasive maneuvers and flying at maximum speed to the other ship.
If any hostiles are in range of the PAWN, open fire with it (I'm not actually sure which magazine is loaded).
"I'm creeping around right now. You just can't see me." You can't tell if anybody got distracted by that. You can only hope.
As you run towards the shuttle you notice an odd anomaly, it's like a stain on a glass window and it is moving. Oh well, better shoot it. Radiant ball of energy goes straight above it.
Ignoring it you run into the shuttle, grap the decrypter and fly into the sky. You realing your rockets into horizontal flight and kick the power on maximum. On hindsight that might not been such a good idea, because slight mistake in trajectory makes you crash directly into wall at V6. Your fuel pods go "boom" and you are no more.
((Out of deference to common sense, I will act as if I don't see Lyra on the map for the purposes of turn actions.))
Go to this shuttle and see if I can find Lyra. If I find her/think she's in range and won't hit mission objectives, attack with my mono-machete.
After you spot Charles shooting at something with his fancy arm cannon you too notice this "stain" in air. You run near the "stain" and swing your machete. A moment later her invisibility wears off and you see that you managed to cut her half right by her brain case.
I am a robot in a jetpack. My lower body was just holding me back.
Set my laser cannon to wide diffusion for extra accuracy, and shoot John to death.
Charles is speaking rather distracting things so you turn around wildly trying to confirm that nobody is behind you. Or near you.
"SUCK IT YOU FLYING SON OF A
OH SHIT"
Shitshitshit okay, run back to the Y junction and hide behind the rocks while blindly firing behind me, if I get hit, make it all melodramatic and shit, then fall over, pretending to die (Platelet efficiency overhaul, remember), or just die, if I get hit in a vital spot.
If I do get to the Y junction unmolested, hide behind the rocks and give them a couple volleys.
((Yo, Ao, what art program do you use for this game?))
Apparently your wild shooting and Charles's last speech distracted enemies enough to let you run into safety. You hide best you can, but you don't think it helps at all. Mostly because they can see your video feed.
"Amen."
HEP the jerk in the everything. (Regular, not PEW.) Shard Launcher him a couple times if he's not flipping dead.
The jerk unloads rather massive amount of piezoelectric shards at your direction while running away. Remembering how that his weapon was described to be capable harming battlesuit you are forced to take cover. Once hail of shards finally ends you notice that while your armor is still intact, he managed to destroy your integrated gauss cannon.
