Team A, Lyra
on general freq:
"mrowr?"
I remove my suit and toss it in our shuttle before running down the canyons to the north, going invisible once I'm out of the line of sight of my teammates, staying where my cat-eyes give me the advantage and staying near the canyon walls as best I can to avoid letting people with cameyes on nonstandard vision settings see me from the skies.
You leave your suit behind and sprint north and then east. The second nobody can see you you turn invisibility mode on.
You make it to H3. So far no contacts.
Lars just has an assload of guns.
Team A
"Meow indeed! To battle!"
Turn south and move forward that way, aiming to take cover behind the "pillar" at I8
E8 is as far as you can make it.
Team A
Move up to the corner in G2. If I see any traitors, zap them with doom arms
You reach G2 and set up ambush waiting for enemies.
...I'm unsure of what the hell I am.
Am I just a brain? Regular guy? Shapeshifter again? Figure out my identity!
The Thing Xan is probably most fun.
Team A
Need a ride?
Lars, or any other sniper available, I could get you to L6 if you want. From there we could lock down the centre of the map.
F7 and P5 are also nice sniping position if you don't like L6.
I'm heading to N2 myself. I like it because I can just jump behind and let myself fall if I want to escape quickly. Which is important when sniping, because otherwise an amper could get me if they know my position.
((I just thought of a good plan if we can move our objective and it has no tracker. Wait a few turns, then give the flag to Lyra, fly her to the enemy base hidden in my backpack, drop her off nearby. Once in their base, I distract the defenders while she enters their shuttle and takes both objectives AND their shuttle away. Actually, that might even work even if it has a tracker, if my distraction is good enough.))
((Well, I can see why you would say I'm overpowered. Assuming no amper gets me, I could kill everyone here (except perhaps those people in HRBs or ther heavy armour) in a couple of turns with my Indigo Hydra, since it automatically targets anything living. However, given that this is more of a minimalist, my weapons, armour and skills do not matter that much. I am probably just as likely to kill myself or get my mind burnt by an amper. I'm just evening things out statistically.))
Can we do things like take our flag and hide in a corner of the map? Or hide it inside my battlesuit?
Could I end up destroying the objective by accident?
Or is it locked on the ship inside an indestructible box or equipped with a transmitter or some other such thing?
If anyone wants a ride, fly them to wherever they wanna go.
Otherwise, fly to position 2N (if anyone wants to accompany me there, fly them there).
Once there, switch the Rainbow Cannon to red plasma and prepare to plasma-snipe anyone coming through UV2.
Yes, you can move the device around. It is a cube about half meter wide, so hiding it inside battlesuit might be a tad unpleasant.
With your large array of weapons of mass destruction you certainly can destroy it. Try not to.
Nobody want's ride you, mr. sad face, so you fly alone into L1. (N2 is a bit too far.)
Somebody comes with a rocket bike from your target vector. Your aim is off so you merely carve a large molten scar just in front of the guy. The Rainbow Cannon drains every single drop of power from capacitors of your battlesuit. You are blind and locked in place for a moment.
Team A
"I've got a lightning amp. With a good vantage point, I might be able to fry the brains or synapses of the other teams. Flint, can I get a lift?"
Get a lift from Flint Steve Saint to the plateau on F7. Use Steve's cameras to search for targets. Fry the synapses and brain of anybody on the other team that I see on the way or once there.
Steve the nice guy gives you a princess ride up to the plateau. From there you can see Flint shooting with his compensating cannon down on canyon. Probably enemy, but it's impossible to see who from here.
Can I join team A? They have less people, I think. Also I already read all their stuff.
Do the same thing I did last time: Sell my MK.III, and buy an HRB with the funds gained, plus the newbie help fund.
Once spawned, if Jason (Beirus) doesn't resist, fly him to F7. Once there, tell him to hide behind me and use my cameras for sight. Don't be an obvious target, but if someone spots us, I want to gesture like I'm the amper, since I have the heavy armor. If they try to get close, fly to meet them and wail on them with my kin.amps.
If I don't have a passenger, then just fly towards the enemy shuttle until I see an enemy (with cameyes or otherwise). As soon as I spot them, call the target out to my allies and try to hide, probably by diving into a valley.
"Jason, how about I fly you there instead of Flint? He has his own ranged weapons, but I just have a flamethrower and kin.amps. I can act as a bodyguard for you, and as a spotting camera."
You take him on your arms like a princess and give him a ride where he wanted to go. You too see Flint shooting someone down on canyon far north, but see nobody else.
Aux roll and attempt to hack the enemy team's comms, so I can spy on their actions.
Fly up with Saint and Jason, rain down laser and random-number fire at any UWM traitors I see.
No luck with frequency scanning. At least you can manage to exlude half of supported frequency ranges. You join them on watch duty.
