That's enough internet for you today, Naryar, we don't need that train of thought to go any further.
Sorry
in my defense i play gurps so i tend to mishmash archetypes until it makes something crazy
I hear ya, I fell in love with mutants and masterminds not too long ago after years wasted with palladium, only dabbled in gurps a little back in like... god, the late 80's/early 90's? Man, how old am I?
Incidentally, I don't really recommend the 10k year world-gen thing which reclaimable forts+5k megabeasts allows to anyone else, it's surprisingly boring in adventurer mode once you get over the initial "OH MY GOD THERE'S FOURTY ROCS SITTING THERE" and then realize you have nobody to talk to besides the dorfs from your own fort, who tend not to be useful or very good company, mostly just sitting around in their beds talking about nonsense.
Still trying to find the right balance, when you're all buffed up with speed boosts and such from other megabeasts and the modded heart > balm reactions this:
Turns a little too easily into this:
Still gotta dodge and watch my positioning so I don't get my head snatched off but they're just too damn delicate!
Maybe upgrading their bones to iron equivalent will work better, but even superbuffed and decked out in artifact toys, the equivalent of steel bones+lair full of dragons=big bucket of nope still:
Let's not talk about the zombie dragons sitting outside the lair next door who set everything on fire and chased me as I ran screaming like a little girl... >.> my pride still hurts.
Though, having 10 colossi stomping through a forest punting wildlife as they chase you is fun for longer than I care to admit, especially when I was able to lead them into the middle of a lair full of hydras!
All in all, very amusing twist on the "I wonder what more megabeasts would be like" idea I had when I put the number to 15 on a 17x17 map, bravo Staalo!
