Make the preparations. Wrap some cloth around some simple sticks to act as the flaming arrows.

scout out potential tents to set fire to, and find some areas to place wooden scarecrows to burn

Turn 3: Preparations
~North of Tradebridge, in Shadset County~
As Xaver talked to his men about fighting with honor in the upcoming battle and Cortis made himself a set of three flammable arrows meant to do little more than cause fear and confusion, Jongo wandered off towards the enemy camp. He could see tents towards the outside of their encampment that seemed they would be easy shots for Cortis. Flaming men could be set up anywhere, but before Jongo could find any particularly effective spots he was hear by sentries. Fortunately they were not the type of men to run off into the darkness in search of somebody who in all likelihood wanted them dead, and was capable of accomplishing said task. Instead, they merely shouted loudly and generally attracted attention. Jongo was forced to return to camp, where everyone was turning in for the night. He joined them, resting briefly. In the morning both he and Cortis woke anxiously, ready to set their plans into action.

By all means, don't over-complicate this and stress yourselves. I don't think that time is going to correlate between the 2 threads, so just don't worry about it.

In the darkest part of the night, silently crawl withing firing range. Lay face down until about 30 minutes before they change their morning watch.

The sentries would be the most tired then.

Set up a few wooden men to kindle after the arrows are fired.

Turn 4: Preparations (Cont.)
~North of Tradebridge, in Shadset County~
Xavier roused his men and readied them, joining up with the others who would hold the front in the coming battle. As he did so, Jongo set up crude dummies to burn and Cortis snuck into position, both of them just south of the enemy encampment.
From their position the pair could see, to the east, the forest which housed their own men. It was their lives that would be jeopardized, and as soon as those arrows were fired the enemy would be looking for blood. Somewhere, closer, in that forest would be the group of soldiers waiting for Jongo and Cortis to join them for the ambush.
As they completed their preparations they saw what they took to be the morning watch walking back into the heart of the camp.

Scream in a shrill, terrified voice as I alight the first dummy, and quiet down afterwards. Rinse and repeat with the rest of the dummies. Scream and beg for them to run to their families, as their souls are trapped in the forests eternally.

As soon as the first scream is sounded, fire the first arrow at the largest tent in the encampment. Fire the other arrows randomly around the enemy camp. Once all my arrows are fired, run towards the main army camp, then double-back towards the forest.

Sorry guys, I think this and the other Erioth game are both dead. I've lost a lot of motivation to run them recently.
