You retrieve the egg. It looks to be an unremarkable chicken's egg.
You recall there being a kitchen. Perhaps you can cook it there.



You attempt to ascend the stairs, but the stairs are broken.
You feel quite unwell about the stairs being broken.



The unwellness recedes, replaced by a memory.



The memory is pleasant and mundane. You sit on the porch and watch the field.



The forest is encroaching again.
You'll have to take your axe and beat it back soon. Maybe even today.

There's been so much work, since the last of the farmhands left. It seems like there's more every day.
You've already taken morning eggs, cleared the irrigation ditches, and weeded the garden. That leaves repelling the forest, evening eggs, and drawing salt around all the important buildings...



Ah, but the work can wait for a moment.
