((I'll let the crew vote out which colony they want to head towards. As far as cargo distribution goes, however, there are a few guidelines I'd like to work with. I'll fill in some actual cargoes this evening when I'm done with work/other.

Valuable cargo goes nearer the crew quarters. Hardier, less expensive cargo goes to the head of the ship. I don't know how the ship protects against impacts from free-floating objects/space dust, and I'd rather not have a pea sized object blow apart a cargo hold full of fine wine bottles.

I'm also assuming, judging by shape and tech level, that we spin to generate artificial gravity. So if you want to load cargo, load it symmetrically. ))

The elevators are facing the wrong way for a ship with gravity generated by spin. Instead, I designed the ship to rely on the gravity generated while under thrust. The only time you won't be able to walk around is when you're docked, or at the very beginning/end of your trip when the ship is burning hard in order to buy time to be able to slow it's acceleration to a comfortable 1g (9.81 m/s2) for the rest of the trip, or at the halfway point when the ship flips over to slow down.

(AFAIK Mastahcheese is currently without internet, so... I guess it's up to Draignean to cast the tiebreaking vote.)

We would still have to load it symmetrically, otherwise the Centre of Mass and Centre of Thrust won't be aligned, making us veer off course as soon as the engine is turned on.

Indeed. Your load must be equally distributed around the axis of thrust.

Goddamnit, just like my role in the senate.

Alright. New London. Smaller colony area, higher population of central city. Population density likely means that city is going to need imports to survive comfortably, and that level of colony density probably means that they're advanced enough to care about things like fine wines rather than seeds and farming equipment.

Cargo Distribution:
Holds 1.5,1.6 : Military Goods (Blackjack's Contacts)
Holds 1.3,1.4 : High-dollar Tech Parts
Holds 3.1,3.2,3.3,3.4 : Asteroid minerals

Looks good to me.
Still plenty of space:
1.1, 1.2, 3.5, 3.6 need to be occupied, and hold number 2 is completely empty. It's okay if you leave maybe one or two subholds empty.

Aye, leaving it open for others to suggest cargo.

(Robot parts for my personal use? :-P Maybe some luxuries. Cigars, fashions, jewelry, wine, etc.)

I think assigning an entire cargo space for personal robot parts is too much. I totally agree with luxuries though. Just keep it locked, or Chainsaw is going to sneak in and use up all the cigars and booze :p

Maybe construction materials and construction tools? If we want them to expand, might as well sell tools for expansion.

(I was joking about the robot parts but I agree with construction materials. Raw materials might be good too.)
