Ok then, I shall be fair then
https://youtu.be/njvgKUSR8Ss?t=3h50m39sOk so I was wrong about Lava, Goku blocks it with his Ki shield. He ran from the lava later on because he had no energy left and was back in normal form, and thus had no ki shield.
Not that saying "Ki does it" is a knock against Goku. Back in the Dragon Ball arc the only reason they could survive the Dodo Ray is because their mastery of Ki lets them deflect it, it was one of the reasons why they completely surpass that character.
But that is the general power of the Death ball. Notice how it didn't manage to destroy that house right in the open... oddly.
And before you say "But see, that means it destroyed the crust" no, that is from "Destroy the Earth". Any blow to the earth causes lava to erupt.

And here you will see Frieza getting seriously hurt by an attack that is so powerful it makes her... kind of skid across the floor. (Uhhh I mislinked)
But I am being silly. But it isn't like DBZ never broke had somehow devastating blows barely knock someone back.
(Oddly in spite being a mislink it works too given Frieza almost dies from a blow so powerful! she... kind of gets knocked up a bit)

Actually you know what is funny?
You want to know a character who HAS just flown through several miles of rock and through the mantle completely unharmed?
Captain Planet.

Note that I know I am being unfair with Superman I KNOW that you cannot take single feats a character has done and attribute that to their ability.
The reason Superman can fly away from that Blackhole is because the show isn't realistic to science. It is why Hypersonic was able to run out a blackhole...
But I just am tired when Goku gets a pass when Superman doesn't because ultimately of the different ways those shows are framed.
Say you believe Goku could beat Superman, but don't reinterpret his abilities because the writers didn't make his punches cause people to fly into space.
As for sources... Nope can't get any. Though I'd just about dare you to even find the episode I am referring to and link it.
At least, I can't get any sources I can link anyhow.
