Engraved in the floor is an image of a human and humans. The human is ressurecting the humans every 30 seconds.

This one represents gameplay and not story.
Hint: it's a 2007 fps.

Very yes.

On this wall is a masterful engraving of a female human and a cave swallowman. The swallowman is speaking with the human. The human is raising the adamantine plate mail. The human is striking down the brain.

That wouldn't happen to be Oblivion, would it?  Staff of Worms and all that?

On the wall is an engraving of a vampire and some bugs. The vampire is surrounded by the bugs.

WH40k was right.

On the wall is an engraving of a human, humans, and a computer game.  The humans are raising the computer game.  The game is lacking the things that made the human want it.  The human is screaming.

Hint:  It's an FPS set in an alternate timeline.

Well gee, that description qualifies for a ton of games.  Well, except for maybe the alternate timeline bit.

Wait....     "S.T.A.L.K.E.R."?

Indeed...  *Sheds a tear for what could've been*

I'm not even going to consider Clear Sky unless I see insane reviews.

I was rather stumped until I saw

Then it occured to me.  Strange how that happens.

I've heard some of the hype for STALKER, but never tried it.  I saw some screenshots after a time, and thought "Huh?  This guy must be using really low settings", but I couldn't find any that had better ones, so I eventually lost interest and went to do download something else.  I forget what.

Yeah, it has pretty good graphics, but nearly everything that made it so hyped was cut out. (Blowouts, lots of mutants, huge sections of the map, realistic AI)

If you read the site it puts this glorious image into your mind, and you think, zomgwtfepic, then you play it and it's nothing like it.  Mods make it tolerable though, even re-implement blowouts.

This is a masterful engraving of a fluffy wambler. The fluffy wambler is eating the dwarf. The fluffy wambler spits out the star chunk. The fluffy wambler is eating the demon. The fluffy wambler is striking a menacing pose.

On the wall is a masterful engraving of a man, a woman, pale mutant thingies, a silhouette of a guy, a lighthouse, a shadow, a game, and everyone.

The lighthouse is holding up the man, the woman, and the pale mutant thingies.
The woman is making a plaintive gesture.  The man is brandishing a blunt object, the pale mutant thingies are striking a menacing pose.  The shadow is rising in the ocean.  The sillhouette of a guy is standing up and twitching.  The game is being cancelled.  Everyone is screaming.

Hint: It's set in the ruins of a town where there were a lot of fishy(lolpun) things going on.

That description somewhat reminds me of The Time Machine (both the novel and the movie), but I'm fairly sure no game has been made of it yet.

I have absolutely no clue...  Luckily, I haven't had the misfortune of sitting on a game that got cancelled.  Well, lately.

The "fishy" reference makes me think of the Cthulhu mythos, but the only game I can think of with that would be "Call of Cthulhu", and that wasn't cancelled.  Nor did it have a woman (so far as I know).

Also, it sounds reasonable that something based off of the Cthulhu mythos would get slashed.  Too fresh and interesting.
