Name: Brother Humilius
Inventory: Monk clothes, a sawed off shotgun with shells (if applicable), a knife, a kickass tonsure, a bottle of sacramental wine, a knife, and a jolly smile.
Back-story: Brother Humilius, born Anson was the fourth child of an average hunter. His father was attacked by bandits in a remote part of the forest, but received help from a mysterious stranger with white hair and two swords on his back. The strange man asked one thing in return - giving him a thing the hunter would find in his house but did not expect. He also promised that he would be back in a year. Upon returning home, the rescued man realized his wife was pregnant. The stranger never returned, but rumors say he was killed by a peasant with a pitchfork.
The child was given to the local monastery and became a monk. The young man wore his tonsure proudly, (a bit ironically, given his name) and soon became known for his incredible preachings. Unfortunately, as the elves started abusing their power, he felt that his destiny lies elsewhere than boring old churches and sermons. He took on smuggling, and soon found himself happy in condoning his new way of life.

Description: A numerous race, one we are all fairly familiar with. They are a diverse lot, with so many countries and cultures a single stereotype hasn't stuck well. Generally, they are seen as "average". Pretty strong. Pretty advanced. Pretty smart. Not the strongest, not the toughest, but can do about anything in a pinch.

Abilities: Many Men: Humans receive a bonus to numbers as they are simply so numerous. Slip into the Crowd: Humans are harder to tell apart from a general crowd, not sticking out too much unless they are the only human there. When in a crowd containing other humans, there is a good chance they will not be tracked down.
Impotence: Average: Humans are often seen as unremarkable by many of the other races. While they have no problem believing they can be antiquate in any function, a human will have to prove himself to get respect as a skilled individual. Humans get a charisma penalty to powerful figures who see humans as "under" them until they can prove their worth.
Name: The Monastery
History: The Monastery is a jolly band of smiling, murderous men you wouldn't ever suspect of being gangsters at all - fat, balding men or seemingly honest workers. They slipped by pretty much unnoticed by the grand scheme of things, but now it's time for the Monastery to take over this city. The gang was originally composed of Brother Humilius and a few of his pals who begun to smuggle alcohol and meat into the Dwarven and Orkish districts. Due to the fact that the smuggling business was expanding, the founder had three choices. One - abandoning the gang lief, two - joining a bigger organisation as a common thug or the mythological third option - expansion. Obviously the ambitious monk chose the third option, for the sake of the money if nothing else.
