((Will get everything changed over tomorrow when I have a real computer)
[introductions]

A redguard diplomat walks into the thriving hall of political people and sets his documents and scrolls on his given desk space, he observes the crowed of lower caste diplomats and greets those on his level,"Hello everyone, and good day. Today we are coming closer to solving this worlds problems than we have in years by simply and peacefully coming here to talk. Now does anyone have any questions about this function?"

((Is this the first assembly held by the different countries?))

A elf stands from behind his desk and begins to speak. "I wish to know what kind of problems we will be talking about. I also fully expect that this assembly will not be used to force the will of other nations on any of the member states who agreed to join."

(One of the first, since I'm using myself as moderator my guy is from the nation hosting the meeting)

The redguard calmly speaks to the elf as though race didn't matter to the rivaling species,"Problems that will be talked about today will be ones that impede trade, travel, and security. It has been reported that Wyrms have been seen in the south deserts on the trade roads, bandits evading military on the central road, and an undead plague sweeping through a neighboring continent that may hit us soon. Which shall we start with?"

"I suppose that we should start with the most concern news the undead plague."

Yes, nations who delve in heavy trade should fear it more than others. It started over there in port towns where goods were traded heavily from foreign lands

"So nations that have access to trading ports should begin to monitor and control trade between their nation and the ones that afflicted with the undead plague? I do think we should still develop a few plans just in case the the plague should manage to spread to here."

"Well the problems reported from the effected nations are that the plague has a very long incubation period and once the infection takes hold there is no cure that has been reported."

"If we could isolate anyone who we think might be infected then we could cull all those who we think are. So it is simple the cure is death. The problem is finding out who could possibly be infected if it takes a long time to show that they are diseased then they have long period of time to spread the plague. Perhaps if there aren't already diseased here then we can simple stop trade with infected countries?"

"What is it that we actually know about this plague?" -Steve asked - " why don't we set up a subcommittee to study it, like we do back home? Killing people needlessly seem like one of those things barbarians do."

"By all means if you can find a way to study it without the risk of spreading it here then I am fine with it. On the other hand if the disease has already reached our landmass or if any of the people who study it should happen to become diseased with it then risking your and our people's well being simply because your government was too cowardly to kill those who are practically already dead seems to be quite foolish. Of course if it comes to it then we would also need to find a way of finding the diseased so that we may dispose of them before they can spread it to others. That is if it manages to spread to here in the first place. I would also like to know how the the disease spreads so we can think of countermeasures against the plague."

"What we know is that it takes anywhere from a week to a month for symptoms to show, we are pretty sure that they can begin spreading it about three days before symptoms. It is spread through direct contact and fluids left on surfaces. There were reports of a city who's hospital had to treat hundreds of burns because people were scrubbing their houses down with boiling water in fear of infection. Once the infection takes hold it is obvious, the victims skin becomes either pale olive green or completely flush (white). They become easily agitated, they begin vomiting sneezing caughing caughing blood and other such things, lastly the usual effects of dehydration do not seem to affect the infected but they will still drink if given opritunity. They have been reported as very violent once infected for more than a few days."

"None of the reports have anything to say on it. We could send researchers over to find out with test groups but that would mean sacrificing researchers"

"I prefer if we avoided contact with the diseased at all costs but it could already be over here. If we try to ignore it and it has already spread to here then we would waste some time we could have been using to learn about the disease. There are also questions we have to think about. Such as is it already infecting our people? Can we contain the disease if we tried? Is research into something that might not even spread to here worth risking the lives of intelligent members of our nations that could have done much more useful things during their lifetime? How will the people react to the situation if the disease does spread to the member nations of this assembly? These and probably more questions are all things we have to consider before we can make a unified decision on how to deal with this crisis."

I say that the lives of out inteligebt are worth the risk, even of it doesn't spread here it will expand our lnowledge of the disease and how to treat it if it comes back.
