Fantasy world political assembly trial run: (4/10)
« on: April 01, 2015, 10:17:57 pm »

So I'm just seeing if this is a decent way to do the assembly in a game I want to run soon.
This is the way it ran in a trial a few months back ((Great Ruver Politics))
Previous world history will play into stuff in game but future world history will not be mentioned as it dies not affect current game play and only causes arguments. Blah blah blah

So I will be the moderator and situation giver.
This means I will control an assembly member who will moderate discussion, giving mutes to people who cross a line or break a rule. I will also throw in situations that the assembly can discuss.
The game assumes there are no wars between assembly members states. Each member is a leader of a state.
Probably going to keep it 12 person max

More stuff maybe later.....

Create your state/assembly member
State name:
State's major resources: ((pick two- food, metal, lumber, domestic animals, and education/technology))
(All states are assumed to be able to sustain themselves, major resources are ones that you have excess of)
State's population: (pick one or two- red guard (strong but dumb), human (middle), elves (weak but smart)
State's government: (democracy, monarchy, communist, etc etc)

Assembly menber's name:
Race:
Gender:
Rank: (king, baron, duke, representative, etc)

Moderator (me)
State: Serbis
Resources: Food and technology/education
Population: Redguard and human
Government: Limited Monarchy

Name: Minos Poulos
Race: Redguard
Gender: Male
Rank: King

-------------
(Prophet)
State name: Ikasmar
State's major resources: Metal and Lumber.
State's population: Human and Elves.
State's government: Absolute Monarchy.

Assembly member's name: Aymon Ikasmar.
Race: Elf.
Gender: Male.
Rank: King.

Minos walks into the assembly of representatives and monarchs of the great continent. He sees that many of the groups are only speaking among themselves and not openly discussing anything so Minos brings up a new topic for discussion.
Alright assembly members it's time that we discuss something of importance on our continent. As many of you know the great sand wurms of the south east are hindering trade between our great states and the isolated desert civilization. As you can probably deduce this means less glass for our great cathedrals and windows for new buildings being produced for our growing states. Does anyone know a solution or use for these giant beasts that live in the south sands?

((Yup that looks fine. Basicaly just BS some political, social, governmental stuff for your state and incorperate that into how you discuss. Like that above Wurms problem, it's complete BS scenario stuff so react however you think your nation's leader should. This is just a test/game/I'm bored with too much free time thing. But ya your stuff looks fine.))

I do not have a definite solution but if we can capture a few of the beasts perhaps we can tame and use them.

I suppose they may be useful for digging tunnels for catacombs. Does anyone have a suggestion for capturing the Wurms? They are about 100 meters long and 10 meters in diameter with thick leathery scales protecting their bodies

Ok so let's just restart this.
For a country post it's name, name of leader, type of government, and one or two important thing(s) about it (military, agriculture, trade, industry, etc)
I'll make a map if I get enough players.

I'll start off with

Name of country- Sitaros
Name of political leader- Pesko Harkon
Importance- Industry and trade

wudja mind putting this in the OP? (along with, maybe, a general outline of what setting you want to play: F.e.: Alternate Real World, High Fantasy, dystopian Cyberpunk or Space Opera)

Country Name: Soarrelli
Leader's Name: Marshal-Elect Risard Titon
Government: Elective Military Dictatorship
Importance: Technology and Industry

Would also be good if we knew just what sort of setting this is in too.

((I assumed that it was a low/high fantasy setting but now that you guys mention it it would be nice to know for certain what the setting is.))

Name of country: The collective (there is no distinct country name, I might as well say "the county")
Name of political leader: DkTkPk (Or, call him Steve, he looked it up in the dictionary and the meanings are as close as he could get them)
Government: Collectivist Hivestructure (Despite 97% of the population being essentially chemically brainwashed into accepting a de-facto caste system, from a legal standpoint everything belongs to everyone without reservations)
Importance: Industry and Food.

((Plus the thread title says fantasy and elves and red guards are in the game so that's why I assumed it was high/low fantasy setting although since worm monsters apparently exist of the two I would assume high fantasy.))
