Willow trees are my favorite since they can be used for asprin/pain killer if lost in the woods.

Also those giant trees in Hawaii with branches that are like dangling vines, made me feel like Tarzan as a kid

If we're to be honest, though, we all know which tree is number one.

Giant sequoia are pretty neat. Also, they make a very satisfying crash when you chop them down.

I <3 this thread!
I really couldn't choose a favorite, but I like oaks and maples for their shadiness and for building forests.  But pine forests are amazing in their own way...  Their soft needles are great to walk on, or to fall on while mountain biking heh.  And the air feels sooo good.

Outside of forests, our state tree is quite nice:

I like the bark especially.  At my first home my parents planted one when I was born, though it's long gone now...

I love how trees sway in the wind, and make big leaves for art projects, and are excellent backscratchers, and help us breathe, and make such an amazing building material, and hold the ground together, and are lovely colors including green, and sometimes eat metal wire which looks really cool, and can be climbed in (particularly those weird ones that go all low and horizontal!), and and I love trees.

I don't have a picture of it, but I would like to appreciate the Blackjack Oak that I spent the last twenty minutes hiding under. They're not tall trees, they're not usually pretty trees, they're too innately gnarled to be much good for lumber, but they can withstand ridiculous winds and they make great umbrellas.

Thank you tree, I appreciate you for being a tree.
