Has this bug been reported?

1) Dig dig
2) Place some stockpiles in your basement
3) Retire
4) Unretire

Then all those stockpile tiles become above ground, permenantly.

Those ice walls in the picture were once stockpiles.

Well that is quite something. How can this be utilized in DF?

If it works... no more cave adaptation... no more puke.
Or loads of puke around the fortress really suddenly, then none.

But VERY useful for militia training.

1. Make stockpiles as deep as possible
2. Retire, unretire
3. Grow strawberries in hell

Also, what parameters such tiles get exactly? Inside - Light - Above Ground ?

Makes me wonder whenever this is a known or a new bug. New to me at least.

Inside, dark, above ground.

Edit*

Too bad, you can't grow anything....

Edit 2*

Oh, this area is under sea, maybe I need to try another location.

Edit 3*

Yeah, you can grow above ground plants.

If this is dark and inside, then it cannot help with cave adaptation. It will increase it just normally. I see planting above ground crops and maybe refuse stockpile as only uses (need to test whether refuse produces miasma or not, but it shouldn't, being above ground). However, I would still plant above ground plants in normal way, that is with farms exposed to outside and then roofed over. Unless it's a vicious, evil, dangerous biome, where even short exposing may be deadly :)

If it was outside, then it would cure cave adaptation (probably, because dark conflicts with outside, but even if both worked then curing effect should be stronger), and allow windmills to work. Above ground, not so much.
