I've been trying to an adventurer who worships a deity of pain so I can have them talk to a princess from some elf treesucker hole and have her say "Life is, in a word, pain."

You:Can you tell me where i can find me?
Ringleader:i don't know myself and i don't even know anybody that could tell me.
Apparently he was thinking that i'm impersonating myself.

From my Macelord dwarf after smashing a human's spine through his back and into his ribs, killing him, in my corpse-strewn battlefield, in the middle of a slaughter, hours after leaving the caverns:

Macelord: "I've been nauseated. There is no hope."

Ho hum. I think you're failing to empathize with the other person in this situation, really.

That happens all the time.

Yeah, I love the bit where people regale my with tales of random crap I myself did two minutes ago and four steps to the left, then, when asked, have no idea as to my location.

Heiterverzweiflung. Not a legit German word so much as something a friend and I made up in German class once. "Carefree despair". When life is so fucked that you can't stop laughing.

It's funny how when you ask about something you told them, they refer you to yourself as advice but in a weird third person kind of way.

Me-"I killed Dingus."
Guy- "Terrifying."
Me-"Where find Dingus?"
Guy-"Dunno, go look for yourself he probably knows."

I once got bit by a dog; and I think my companion noticed and didn't understand.

Whenever I WALKED near a dog, he would inform me that
"This is my fight too!" And start fighting random dogs.

I couldn't find out why he was doing this until finally, he shouted at another random dog how he was getting revenge for IT killing ME...

PTSD or something idk :-\

Whenever my sidekick maceman walks by Keas he goes apeshit and starts bludgeoning them to death, just because I once threw a Kea against a wall (it was an accident... really)

Maybe it was a dream, or a bad trip from some green plump helmets?

I posted on the DFQuestions thread about the NPC who, whenever I talked to him, a goblin with the name Nako Towerwraith the Harvested Bow of Quandaries standing in the middle of the woods wearing nothing but water who HAD BEEN FOLLOWING ME, I replied, with options such as
"Say something about your general mental state",
"Refuse to share information"
"Struggle verbally against great fear",
Not to mention: "Initiate Barter", and "Admit total ignorance".

Tripp-y.

It was inevitable.

Out of curiosity, how/where was the goblin wearing water?  Was it like just being naked and covered in water contaminants, or was the goblin wearing a dress made of water?

It was just covered. I said wearing for dramatic effect, and also to emphasize the fact that he was nekked.
