Felicity was getting visibly shaken by all of the questioning. "And why not? Slow us down, that's a joke! Where are we going? How do we know we won't be killed again in that next room? Or that there even is a next room? This could be some lonely little trap. Nowhere to go at all! What makes you want to rush forward?

We have no more reason to trust each other than this creature, and less reason to trust there's anywhere worth going that'll be better than here!"

"Well, none of us tried to kill each other! And we can actually speak coherently, with the addition of saving each other's lives to boot! Don't bring the bloody thing with us. If you don't want to put it out of it's misery, fine, whatever. But how can bringing the creature who was probably sent here by it's "Master" to kill us along with us where it will have the opportunity to try again, and we'll risk dying just due to sheer bloody luck, be a good idea?"

Embrus

You remove your shirt - a rather painful process over the broken shoulder - and tear it into two parts. The first you give to Regina, who fashions a sling for it as you grit your teeth and place your hand on your shoulder. You push, the bones slowly getting back into alignment, until the pain gets too much to bear. A glance down reveals it hasn’t made much progress - you’ll likely have to hope it heals correctly.

Regina passes you the sling and helps you slip it on as you take the other half of the shirt and laboriously start to bandage the creature’s shoulder. The creature flinches away at first, until it notices what is happening, at which point it relaxes. The end result is passable - nowhere near medical standard, but a decent job for the materials on hand.

Ayzebel

As you speak to the creature it looks at you in acknowledgement, but shows no actual comprehension of the words.

Sighing, you head back to the head of the ladder, and turn to the spearman’s corpse. You can’t help but feel he looks familiar, and find yourself taking his chain shirt without much care for the corpse itself. It ends up lying on the floor, limbs lying twisted in awkward positions. You even have to resist a passing urge to embarrass the corpse further.

Shaking your head, you leave the room. Despite the clear strength of feeling, you can’t even place where he looked familiar from - nor what he may have done to you. If it was to you at all.

((it'd really help if we could get a short text in the turn summary about where we are? I think we're near T-Junction and a door, right?))

Ayzebel made her way back, musing on where she might have seen the man before - if it was even her memories.

She tousled Felecity's hair when she got back, looking at the strange man who had claimed to use magic.

"You want me to help push your shoulder back into place, Ember?"

"He's got a broken collarbone, not a dislocated shoulder." Regina chimes in.

"Well, my mistake." Ayzebel said, raising a eyebrow.

"But anyway, creature." She crouched to eye level with the monster, staring at it fiercely. "Where are we? Where?"

Ayzebel

The creature looks blankly at you, before responding hesitantly - ‘Master?’. It tries to push itself up slightly but its face screws up in pain and it drops back down onto its back.

Ayzebel tried again. She pointed down. "Corpses. Dead. Here. Why?"
She pointed at the creature. "You. What are you?"
