The zoltan shield bypass thing (is that what he got?) is definitely not junk.  It allows you to hack through zoltan shields, send boarders through zoltan shields... very useful against the mothership.

I'm not sure how the game would handle your receiving another augment now that you have maximum number.  Maybe sell one just in case you get another one before the next shop?

I tune out the Federation Command's arguing and wait for a response.  After about 45 minutes, they tell me what to buy... nothing. "WHAT DO YOU MEAN NOTHING?" I demand. they reply calmly, "you know, nothing in this shop seems worth the expense." GAHHH! I feel like a band kid again trying to complete a fundraiser. My "customers" would say, "After looking through this catalog for 45 minutes, I've decided not to buy anything! YAY!" Anyways, I decide to move on towards the other store in hopes that Command would let me buy something worthwhile.

When I arrive, I notice several rebel ships buzzing around and fear the worst, however, to my surprise, only one decides to engage. I ponder the reasons why only one guy ever tries to attack me at a time, but ignore it as I enter battle... with the one guy.

I cloak his heavy laser, and fire a devastating volley, but I am unable to dodge their teleporting bomb. Fortunately, it only destroys out oxygen, and I send my new zolten, who I have named "zanzatkukan" to fix it. One more salvo, and their ship is history.

We should sell at least one augment. We have reached the max number of augments, and if we find another in a random event, we will have to discard one. We might as well sell the useless ones now.

I dunno, man... I think we should skip getting shields for now, and get ftl jammer and lifeform scanner, 'cause they're both so good...

Just kidding.

Sell titanium casing for +40, sell defense drone for +20 (I think, or is it worth 25?), buy shields for 125, upgrade weapons X2 for 25 and 35, upgrade power by 1, use whatever is left (16, I think) on repairs.
