Personally I think it could work, maybe not call them scythers. but make them be firebreathing insects with scythes for arms

Sorry guys, I'm not going to continue. Just not feeling like it, I suppose. I did finish the original goal, though, so I'll still consider this the first forum game that I've followed through with to completion. Huzzah! Thanks for the great suggestions and encouragement, all.

You wander far and wide, wondering at the strange things you have found in this land. Finally, you begin the journey home, bringing the completed map with you to present to the king. On your way, though, you find one last unexplored place, a small cave inhabited by a clan of generally peaceable Trolls. You draw this final discovery and then roll up the map, leaving the world behind and home ahead.

That would be awesome! If someone wants to continue the map making, go for it. I don't know if you'll want to keep it in this thread or just make your own, either one works. If it continues in this one, I can't promise that the OP will remain up-to-date, but I can probably do so. If a new thread's made, please post a link here.
