Spoiler: The South Eastern Volcano (click to show/hide)

A volcano full of fire-breathing wyverns.

Long ago this place was the home of a race of magma people, and many of their cities are still semi-intact.

Furthermore, this race was wiped out by mysterious circumstances many centuries ago, but many of the relics of their civilization still remain.  Despite the aggression of the wyverns, our hero manages to acquire a powerful sword made out of solid flame that, oddly, does not harm the wielder.  He also sees pictures of a great cataclysm, but cannot decipher the text due to the language differences.

The fire-breathing wyverns appear to have some degree of sentience, but still act brutish and aggressive towards everything that is not one of their kind (and some things that are).  They feed upon the various herbivores that scrounge the mountainside for edible plants, but also seem to be able to subsist upon basalt and other lava rocks.

Once active, the volcano now appears to be dormant, its top crusted over with cooled lava long ago.  However, the entire land seems to have barely recovered in all the time it has had, leading our hero to wonder if the magma people cast some spell to keep the land from recovering.  If so, why is it failing now?  Some trees and other plants are beginning to grow, so their magic must be waning on the area.

There lives a hermit within the old volcano settlement. He is an old giant, standing 10 feet even when arched, and half blind, but with good hearing and tremor sense. He has set up an architect hut, and can sometimes spend days wandering the halls, but always returning with various valuable things from within. He is wary of others, and aloof when he discovers a stranger in his midst, but is generally non-hostile, and willing to barter, if you have something of interest to him.

His name is Crag Oldskin, once an archaeologist studying the halls of the magma men, now he permanently dwells there, trying to unearth some secret he will share with no one. His hut is stationed directly outside.

The hut is built into the volcano with a solid stone door in front of it. This is necessary as otherwise the wyverns will kill him in his sleep.

Spoiler: The Giants' Chasm (click to show/hide)

There is a gigantic chasm in the center to unknown depths that nearly splits the map in two(Start and end point do not reach the top and bottom of map, but are very close.) There is a Land Bridge crossing the center of the chasm that houses a giant city in the Middle.

The chasm has a few scarce trees growing on its sides which seem to bloom flowers of blue and yellow. The chasm itself looks to be a full kilometre deep at least and covered in a thick fog.

Two large stubs of stone arching inwards at each of the entrances to the city of giants. There seems to be the remains of a dirt road but it is overgrown with plant life.

To the East of the chasm and above the volcano there is the Great Plains inhabited by savage Orc clans as well as filled with entrances to deep under ground caves scattered among the long grass. In these caves goblins and gremlins live in an uneasy peace with the orcs.

North from the volcano, he discovers a vast, ancient forest beyond the edge of the blasted landscape.  An intitial inspection of the forest reveals several ancient stone circles, but no other signs of sentient life.  The entire forest seems permeated with darkness, and shadows seem to swirl and move with every step.  Deep in the forest lies a permanent fog, so dense that our hero can hardly see as he tries to move through it.

I've heard rumours that inside the stone circles of the dark forest live elves as black as night. They were supposedly trapped there by some unknown hero or God after they caused some kind of terrible atrocity.

These dark elves have had a thousands of years to reflect on everything and there powerful aura has corrupted the forest around them. But it said that if you can survive the journey to them they will let you ask them a question or ask for knowledge. But I dared not go try for myself.

Spoiler: The Wilderness (click to show/hide)

To the West of the chasm the terrain is dominated by wilderness filled with mundane and mythical beasts alike. Near the chasm the wilderness has been pushed back by pioneering human colonists hoping to create a life on the frontier.

In the middle of the wilderness there is a large mountain piercing the sky, carved into its side is a massive arch way with statue of dwarves created of metal that stand guard. Inside the archway there is a maze filled with automons and ancient technological relics created by what I assume was the dwarves but the deeper you go the amount of automons slowly increases till it is overwhelming. I can only guess at what lies deeper.

On the bank of the lake north-west of the dark forest is a wizard's tower. It overlooks the lake where murlocs and hydras are known to lurk, and the vast orc plains where the necromancer could easily gather troops. Fortunately, from what I hear, it's empty, though I dare not go inside.

To the southwest lie the mountains of Samoz. Here the Green Skin Confederation has joined into a loose alliance of trade and diplomacy. Orges, Orcs, and Goblins all live here and usually move out to steal from surrounding lands. It is normal for a Orc horde to attack the towns outside of the city of giants for food.

Around the middle left are the floating islands of leorick, there are around 5 of them the size of well... islands. Three of them are connected by bridges and the other 2 are connected by different bridges.

On the 2nd largest island of the set connected by 3 bridges is the grand castle of leorick, discoverer of these ancient lands. On the smallest island of the set of islands connected by 2 bridges lives the lighting wizard Thordor. He lives in a small hut.

Leorick and Thordor often feud witch each other. It is not rare to hear cannon fire from leorick or see stray lightning bolts from Thordor. These feuds have left the lands below devastated. Scorch marks here, a few craters there. Maybe you might even find a few cannonballs.

Spoiler: The Dwarves' Glacier (click to show/hide)

A glacier sits in the north east corner. A melt water lake sits just west of it with a river that drains into the main river north of caste town. The glacier is honeycombed with tunles inhabited by a clan of dwarves who trade with outsideres only rarely.

The dwarves tend to be very distrusting of outsiders, and even traders they let come to trade with them only get to see the outer portion of the dwarven homes.  The inner halls are sealed off from all outsiders, and despite my best efforts I could not get them to let me inside.  One can only imagine, however, what it must be like in there, what wealth must be stored within those halls.

The glacier is almost entirely barren of life, and my explorations of it turned up nothing of particular interest.  It seems that the only parts of the glacier that hold any interest are off limits: The depths.  Nonetheless, I will return someday and attempt once more to get the dwarves to grant me entrance.

Spoiler: The Vampires and the Paladins (click to show/hide)

Along the river are human settlements.

In the North-West corner is the huge vampire stronghold from which they make raids against human villages and towns

Between the settlements is a paladin stronghold, though their numbers are too few to safely defend against any more than a few of their physically superior opponents at a time.

Fortunately, due to the large presence of vampires, there is a slowly increasing trickle of vampire hunters flowing within the community, ranging from vengeful teens to mercenaries. Though they are still outmatched, they are learning more of the vampires each day, and may one day rout them out for good. The hunters are hard to find, however, and I was unable to find any true information about the hunters hierarchy and armaments, save for what is told in legends and rumors.

I was however in the know of Stick-Tongue the Vampire. Apparently he was a powerful merchant and businessman who lost his wife to the vampires. When he went with others to find her she ended up killing all save him who was bitten. The two are considered the most notable of the vampires and usually lead raids against the humans i am told.

Others however think someone else is pulling the strings.

East of the floating islands are a series of large, blue, floating crystals over some grassland. No animals can be seen and the crystals while not being a light source on their own don't produce shade either.

North West of the City of Giants there is a labyrinth of trenches nine foot deep, and tunnels running below. It spans for miles in anyone direction. In it lives a race of reclusive kobolds, who constantly dig and shift the patterns of the maze. It is rumored that a wyrm lives in the center with a massive treasure.

On the opposite side of the river from the labyrinth is a large statue on top of a shrine of what looks to be a female deity.

East of the Shrine and west of the Dwarves' Glacier there is a tower full of necromancers. The tower is surrounded by their undead minions.

This tower is the second wizards tower, but the arch-wizard lost his mind when his daughter died, and has turned to studying the dark arts to find a means to revive her, the other tower hasn't looked kindly upon his methods, and they have clashed in flurries of magic on and off for years.

  Somewheres in the expanse between the two towers there is an Undead Colossus which wanders and roams, leaving chaos in it's path as the Necromancer who once had control is long gone, a victim to the conflict.

Spoiler: The Great Black Water Pit of Dunne (click to show/hide)

East of the shrine is the great black water pit of Dunne. Named the explorer who discovered it. the pits mysterious black water create zombies of whoever swims in it. Said zombies are usually more intelligent, powerful, and non degrading than those of necromancers. Groups of black magicians have come and gone to learn more but to no avail and some have been pulled down to their presumed deaths by their zombie twins.

Personally, the explorer is not getting too close to that danger.

East of the wizard tower and north of the dark forest there is a cave where a clan of trolls dwell.

the clan is reclusive but not much trouble for anyone, for the mot part they seem to be content with being left alone, but if they feel they have been wronged they will lash out.

This is a suggestion game wherein you suggest things to put on the map, and I draw them there. It'll be pretty free-form, but there are a few guidelines:
