Ideas needed: Captured oddities

So I've currently got in cages:

* Two necromancers
* A fire-breathing FB
* Two other FBs with no interesting effects

I'm not sure what use fun I can do with these guys. I tried dropping some other critters (trogs) onto one of the FB, but it ignored them. Can I use the fire-breathing one as a defense perimeter weapon?

Are the necros good for anything other than militia training?

If the fire-breather dies, then I believe yes. I *think* that revived undead retain all their living abilities (undead kobolds picking locks, undead civilians not triggering traps, etc.) So if you lose your flamethrower to an elite archer, you might be able to bring him back. As a skeletal flamethrower. Or at least a slightly-past-expiration flamethrower.

Some FBs retain some aspects when in cage. For example, deathly dust emitting ones can emit the dust despite being caged, as area of effect spell centred on the cage, irrelevant of any enemies. Do these fire FBs do something like this? Because if not, then maybe releasing them would be the only sensible thing to do.

Honestly, what is more amusing than forcing necromancers to raise flesh puppets to do your fighting for you?

Or just have a giant undead pit...
*Alarm animal sights enemy, flees*
*Pressure plate clicks*
*Floor collapses, enemy siege falls into a labyrinth*
*Screaming commences*
Several days later...
*Screaming ceases*

I now feel the need to have all of my important noble quarters on the same level as my primary defensive corridor, above an undead filled labyrinth...

No, it won't be able to breathe fire. Undead lose their interactions and civ loyalties, so dragons won't breathe fire and zombie dwarves will get caught in traps.

Oh, and only FBs with noxious secretions still emit them from inside a cage. All other attacks are useless.
