Hey OP, it's not compulsory to like alcohol.  Especially if you get a bad reaction to it.  Drink and enjoy soft drinks and if anyone tells you you have to get drunk then stand your ground and say no.  If they don't like that then tough.  It's called having a backbone.  You can sometimes be the designated driver, but don't let them put that on you every time (that's called taking advantage).  If necessary find some other friends that don't drink.  Why are you socialising with your parents anyway?

I used to drink soft drinks all the time.  Took me ages to start "liking" beer, and even now there aren't many that float my boat.  I'd rather have a good cider, or a decent single malt.  Often I'll have a J2O in a pint glass topped up with soda; the soda dilutes the sugariness of the J2O enough to make it drinkable.
