The problem is that they're local coords, so changing them should place them in the site they're loaded in, but I don't see how to change that. I tried changing them for the slab attached to the vault and didn't see it appear at the coords. So I tried all of them to see if maybe I misread the ids or there was a mistake in location placement, and none of them appeared.

Oh, and I found the ids by looking up the site's ids in pops and history.txt, then search df.global.world.world_data.sites for those ids, and there's a link to the artifact, which links to the slab object. Since these were the first things created in any world, their ids will be in the single-digits starting from 0. The slabs have a description line with the names of the demon and god.

EDIT: Alright, the site's index in gm-editor is -1 from the sites and pops file, and the artifacts ids are in the same order. When the slab properly instantiates, it will have valid pos coords. So you might just check that as soon as you're at the vault site, and if it's still -3k x/y/z, then you'll have to savescum and try again to get a slab. Still no idea how to force it to load in a site that it failed to load in. Actually I have one idea to try when I go back to a previous vault; in Bitflags, try setting Undiscovered to true and everything else to false, then enter the area.

I still don't know how to refresh the site data for a slab; the first bitflag only determines whether the site is marked on your map and while the second flags whether you've visited or not, setting it to false won't make it regenerate. I think setting realization to nil as well as setting flag 8 may do it, just not sure how to do that. There's probably a simple lua line that'll do it.

Also found that the creatures' raws aren't generated until they're first instantiated, so save-scumming will also reshuffle their abilities, appearance and most importantly their sizes. So if their clothes don't fit, die and reload until they do. I still call foul on these Torgal's Messengers; their clothes are supposedly too large for me, yet every one of them is smaller than me in all size dimensions. None of them are even adult size for their race, which their clothes are supposed to be fitted for. If these runts can wear the clothes, why can't I?

They're larger than life. You'll never fill their shoes.

wow, what were they made from?  I had some ash and other worthless things that crumbled when you sneezed at them, but they never exploded like that.  awesome.

Well, I grabbed the head of one and started melting later... apparently they're just made out of fire.

Hm, if I change their adult size in the raws to closer to mine, their clothes automatically fit. So I can wear things like "sheer dancing wisps skirt" and "frilly dancing wisps mittens". Won't I feel pretty then?

I was mistaken about their raws being generated in game, they're generated with the world. I don't see any flaming angels, but there's a race of giant humanoid kangaroos composed of vomit. I wonder what their clothes look like?

It's got to be better than this frilly puffy patchy gauzy crap, but I kind of doubt it. The vault was built by a demon of filth and puke and populated by a god of death and blight, so I expect their weapons to be suitably hideous. Maybe I can get a Barfhammer, or a Puslance made of real pus.

realization doesn't do what I thought it does, and most of the loaded vaults have nil for it already. So I still have no idea where the site layout is saved and how to force it to rebuild.

I'll be honest Uzu, I'm feeling a little bigotry against the biliously inclined coming from you here.

Ah. And right there's the reason I haven't retired Bastiongate to go kill a demon.
I got fiery servants too.

I think I found a vault yesterday.
It was empty, but there was every type of weapon imaginable strewn across the floors.
Maces, crossbows, hammers, scourges, you name it.
No demons or anything, though. It opened up into some pits, and there was a goblin crossbowman in there.

But what gives? I was super pumped to fight some demons, but there weren't any.

That was a dark fortress, was it the same icon as a cabinet on the travel screen/in your compass?

The purple column icon on the bottom left is the big tower in a fortress which sounds like what you found, the grey square on the right by me is a vault.

The proximity would seem weird but I have gotten the hang of generating some pretty crazy worlds:
