for people doing setup speculation you assume a balanced game and we were told that it is not. Simply keep in mind the fundamentals or premise a majority of in the don't know vs a minority of in the know.

Usually, if you aren't "in the know", you can assume that you're not scum.

roo is right about that. Usually, if you aren't "in the know", you can assume that you're not scum, so you probably know your own alignment.

If you know you're not scum and more than 3-4 protectors/avengers claim, is it safe to assume that both sides are town and that one isn't a scum team that's lying?

Roo's post burst seems awfully active lurk. Very little content, lots of posts. ((Cut the nested quotes to save space.))

player gamer
setting up your scum buddy to lurk eh?
No, just answering a question. I've seen too many lurk lynches go wrong, and anyway, there are often better targets to lynch. Also, curious to note you seem to be targeting me for answering an innocent question, instead of RVSing.

was that a claim? lol.
There's nothing in there that looks like a claim to me, roo.

mah nigga! preach!
Pointless, active-lurk post.

Good point. However, I'm still wondering why you couldn't just put all of this in one post.

Looking at this, I have to put a tentative vote on roo.

I would needs some serious flow charts to demonstrate that blatant OMGUS. One RVS vote and this guy starts flailing more than a fish out of water. He needs more votes.

I'm not OMGUSing, or flailing for that matter. I'm voting you for the active lurk, and I would be voting you even if you voted for someone else.

When the arguments rent the council apart, only Rhaken attempted to mediate between the sides, for 4maskwolf stood paralyzed by indecision.  Only 4maskwolf and Rhaken refused to take sides, but who knows if ones true alleigance is as they say...

As the argument got heated once more, Guardian 4maskwolf turned his gaze upon the other Guardians with despair.  The council was rending itself even further apart, speculating on the nature of the attack instead of finding those who had perpetrated it.  With a frown, he turned his gaze towards the place where Guardian Rhaken had fallen, and his eyes glowed with power.

Meanwhile, the first serious accusations were being thrown amidst the other Guardians, and yet no decisions had been made.  Guardian roo and Guardian Playergamer debated the finer points of conflict avoidance and vigorous counterattack, while the others talked in a more subdued manner.

I'm calling active lurk because you didn't post for a day, and then when you post, you give no useful information, just a poorly-justified vote. I'm not pushing for you to be  lynched, but it seems off to me.

Pretty much what I expected.

You're right, in that it's hard to say you've been lurking.
However, he's right that posting lots of tiny things like that in short bursts with little to no information involved is scummy.
He's also right that the post referenced did not contain anything that looked like a claim, and that the n-word post was pretty much pointless and only exists to inflate your post count and buddy yourself with OSG.
I'm also confused as to your vote. It's not an RVS vote, despite your claim, since it's attached to an accusation of setting up a buddy and a quote of his answer to somebody else's question.
Between the two of you, Playergamer seems more calm and collected and you seem more spastic and flaily right now.

I'm not OMGUSing, or flailing for that matter. I'm voting you for the active lurk, and I would be voting you even if you voted for someone else.

We do tend to frown upon sarcasm (at least most of us), and while it's not inherently scummy, it's one of the first defenses I've found that scum reach for. Because it's hard to bluff if you're caught lying, but sarcasm can be explained away.

The humor behind many of the names was lost upon the Guardians, for they were, some surmised, merely cosmic forces of balance and order, lacking the necessary insight for humor.  The origins of their names were lost so far in history that even the Gurdians themselves could not remember, and there were so many matters of greater importance that it never occured to them to trace down their name's origins.

I'm not asking for you to call out the mafia, but there's no useful information in those posts besides the fact that you've decided not to give useful info. No questions, no answers, just jokes and a poorly justified vote.

As for lurking, perhaps you're correct that it's a bit of a stretch to call that lurking, but you're still acting fairly scummy.
