Do we have any medical supplies or anything? Anya is a pharmacist so maybe?

Medical Supplies?

Good question.

Yes there are some, but you also have to understand that Anya is a pharmacist who literally works right next door. I mean your apartment building address is "1387 Galley Road, Camdin" and Mortin's Grocery Store (has the pharmacy she works at) is 1389 Galley Road, Camdin. So it's just north of your apartment building. That said, if she needed anything before the zombies came, she could just walk next door. Why would she have a huge stockpile of drugs if that's true? Right?

She does have a first aid kit, some bandages, disinfectant, various cold remedies and things of a similar nature. Though you haven't asked to see it in game before this, so the character John, might not know this (how would he?).

Short answer, yes for fairly minor things. Keep in mind you've got a pharmacy next door and one of those "health" sections right next to it in the grocery store as part of the pharmacy counter area in the store.

I hope this has helped answer your question.

You call out, "Excuse me, Sir.... Lonnie. Lonnie? Are you in there? It's your next door neighbors Anya and John, I just moved in. If you've looked out your window, then you've seen everything's gone to hell out there. People shambling around all dead ish .... It's not great. Look, whatever happens we have a better chance of survival if we stick together man. Hello? Sticking together, sound good?"

You receive no answer, and open the door, entering it. The apartment is similar to yours in layout, except it is in disarray. Then of course, there's the sofa and Lonnie sprawled out all over the couch. Liquor bottles are sprawled out all over him. There are an absolute ton of them and they're empty, so either he drank them all at the same time, or he drank them over the course of a long time but NEVER got up (or got up and put the bottles back on himself). There's no way anybody could drink that much and live.

Then, his eyes open except they're red and he's moaning. There are black and green patches on his skin and it looks like there is a really bad rash or something on his right arm. He begins to stand up to reveal he has no shirt and his chest is bloody and part of his stomach might be either missing or just somehow messed up. He does not seem to verbally respond beyond moaning and does not indicate any response to his name. He looks right at you though, trying to stand....

It becomes rather obvious that he drank himself to death, and now appears to be stumblingly ambulatory after a fashion as the bottles slide off him as he stands.... He begins to shamble towards you slowly, moaning, and red eyed....

What do you do?

If he ain't a zombie he's close enough. Baseball bat to the head

Try to flank him a bit and wind up for a swing to knock his head off +1
-have Anya go left and we go right
-cave in his face with that bat

Be careful in case there's anybody else in there with him and search the place to make sure there's no other zombies +1
-After he's dead or whatever

Don't bother trying to flank, just whack him hard in the head with the bat +1

Also, tell Anya not to fire the gun. The gunshot would attract even more zombies to the building +1

-Try to charge straight at him and put our back into knocking his head off.
-If we miss or something goes wrong, dodge the way Anya isn't so we can try to flank next round. (hopefully we'll just bash his head straight in).
-Once we do that, make sure we cave his head in and destroy the brain to finish off the zombie.

Also, tell Anya not to fire the gun. The gunshot would attract even more zombies to the building +1

-Yeah, for all we know he isn't the only zombie in here and the last thing we need is bitten by one that we missed. It's a cliche.

Swinging baseball bat to Lonnie's head.
*Success, for you, not for Lonnie.

"`Tchyo za ga`lima!" shouts Anya wide eyed to see that dead man rise before her eyes. She backs up, holding the carving knife above her head to ram it into whatever comes at her next.

You immediately wind up and charge towards ... what used to be Lonnie? He lurches for you aiming to put his mouth on you. Instead, he finds your bat in his mouth. You hear a distinct crunch; his jawbone is broken and hanging from his face as he is knocked back and if the word disoriented applies to zombies, it applies to him now. You then deliver several blows to the top of his head, caving it in as he sits there moaning exactly as he did before he was hit as if pain didn't effect him. He tries to rise each time you hit him, until of course the last one when his head is quite caved in. Lonnie had a bad day and something tells you he will never have another day again....

Anya stares at what is left of him in disbelief from up against the wall, still quite holding the knife....

Yes, more or less. Lonnie's apartment, like yours, has a balcony with fire escape retractable ladder (where you can drop the ladder down if you want but going up would be more difficult). You could try to carry his body out to the balcony and throw him off it if you'd like. 10 story drop would probably splatter it depending upon where and how it landed. This could be possible, yes.

March 1st, 1995 Round Seven:

Location: "Home" Lake District

1387 Galley Road, Camdin
10th Story: 10th Story inside apt 1001 Lonnie's Apt.

YOU:

_____________________________________________________________________

ACTIONS AND PLAY:
Summation:
Action Location: Anya and you are inside apt 1001 Lonnie's Apt.
Positioning: You take point, Anya is behind you against wall.
Actions Attempted:
Throw Lonnie from the Balcony *Success
Search the Area (I assumed whole apartment but more specific next time please) *Success

It appears Lonnie's head is quite bashed in and there is a significant series of dents compounding to mean the upper half of his head is effectively destroyed. There is blood basically everywhere, and there's a little bit on you, but not much. Anya is still up against the wall trying to regain her composure. She starts walking around to close all the doors in the apartment, to both bedrooms, the bathroom, etc. She makes a note to check them later to make sure there are no other guests of Lonnie ready to shamble around....

It is immediately apparent that the thing you saw on Lonnie's arm is a bite mark.... You pick up Lonnie's quite dead corpse and can't help but drip blood on the carpet as you hoist him and head towards the balcony for the grim task you have in mind.... Over the rail he goes as you watch him fall 10 stories to the ground and greenspace lawn below.... His decaying flesh splatters and breaks apart into a gory spectacle, even from this height. Your own balcony is immediately to the south of Lonnie's and you can see your patio furniture there. Looking about you, you can also see Mortin's Grocery store with it's parking lot containing several cars. You can see the various apartment buildings on Galley Street and the electrical substation tower a few buildings north and across the street. You can't easily see it but the post office is also up the street to the north as well, and you remember that being there.

Then of course there's the street itself, quite different from what you remember it being four days ago. The same shambling corpses you've seen over the past four days are still down there, or perhaps similar enough ones. It's hard to count but there must be dozens at least, perhaps a couple hundred up and down the length of the street in your vision. Old, young, rich and poor, death is the great equalizer and never discriminates while welcoming all, and they're all on a slow parade around the local area it seems.... The traffic conditions are a mess and the road contains several car accidents. You count about 7 or eight car wrecks along the street from what you can only imagine were desperate people trying to get out. You're too high to gain a lot of details, but it's a matter of simple guesswork to realize it's not good down there, as an understatement.

As it is in your apartment, Lonnie's similar design was an open kitchen off the living room. There are a large amount empty liquor bottles where you found Lonnie, mostly whiskey and Johnny Walker labels. They could be useful as containers, perhaps. Upon looking in the open kitchen off the living room (no distinguishing door and an open floor plan on those two rooms), you find a surprising amount of full liquor bottles, as one would have expected those to have been drunk as well. There is surprisingly little food and you wouldn't want to eat any of it, as it appears Lonnie preferred to drink his meals in liquid fermented form.

You find the following in the kitchen as items of note:

12 full Bottles of Johnny Walker Black Label
8 Full Bottles of Vodka
80 Empty Bottles of Johnny Walker Black Label spread about where Lonnie was

It strikes you as somewhat odd that even being a drunk that Lonnie evidently was, he would have so much liquor, and for almost all of it to be of the same type. Moreover, you realize that Johnny Walker Black Label is a fairly expensive alcoholic brand. You are an accountant, all told with 100 bottles of Alcohol, there must have been $1000, $2000, a few thousand really, worth of liquor in Lonnie's place and he drank the overwhelming majority of it. It's unlikely that he could have gotten his hands on so much under usual circumstances. There's also the matter of how he got that bite mark.... It occurs to you that Lonnie may well have gone looting for his favorite vice and it ended up being doubly the end of him....

To save time just this once (and because I was unsure of exactly what areas you wanted to check), I will assume you check the bedrooms and bathroom. No additional people, infected, or zombies are found within. All rooms are rather bare and it becomes apparent what Lonnie's priorities were.... You find the usual personal effects such as extremely casual clothing, razors for shaving, and personal hygiene products like soap, shampoo, etc.  The room has a mattress with no bed frame. It is generally filthy and needs to have been picked up after, Lonnie clearly did not. The second bedroom is oddly unused and vacant with no furniture whatsoever, completely bare.

What do you do?

Two plans we could go with right now. Either

1) Clear out the bottom floor, and barricade the stairs up to the top. Then, clear the apartment building room by room.
or
2) Go loot the surrounding area, and hole up in one room.

These are both long term plans. I say we should go with number 1, but right now I'd say...

Head down to the 3rd Story, and find the pool. Is it full? +1

((Utilities appear to be up and running still. Are the elevators working?))
