We may want to have a small detachment of soldiers (say, 20) nearby with some adventurers to help them survive as a slaving party, taking the native's hunters and gatherers as slaves

-1 we don't if there is any more villages and this is basically declaring war

+1 to just taking note

Let's head home before we run out of supplies.

Lets pull our butt out of here and trek back the 200 units of adventure done!

Day 5.5 of adventure.

Sanity check: [80]>25(base 5 + Bloodthirsty xenophobic humans 20)

Despite rumblings and suggestion of raiding their hunters and gatherers (even you don't even know if they are hunter-gatherers yet), you manged to stop anyone actually trying to do anything silly.

Stealth check: [11] <20 (Base 10, inexperienced soldiers in wilderness 10) FAIL
Reaction check: [52] = Neutral

However, one of your soldiers on guard duty over the night decided that he should stay on the hill. He thought it would be a good idea to have a view over your camp behind it. As he emerged from the hill, he noticed another figure, of slender proportions, standing at just 20 feet from him, probably also on guard duty. The figure was clearly scared, as he babbled something incomprehensible, and ran away.

It is a touchy situation. You are clearly spotted, the soldier is now reporting that incident to you and requested your action on his incompetence. The natives are only at your doors, and you still have no idea of their intentions.

The sun has still not risen. What are you going to do now?

Camp for the night. Our men and weapons should be enough to repel whatever attack comes. Tell our men that we can't afford to attack the enemy just yet since we're not familiar with the jungle. For now we'll bide our time, map the area, and prepare defences.

((You are already camping. You are being waked up by the soldier's report.))

Continue being in the camp until sunrise. Our boys need rest.

((sorry has been a bit hectic these days...)

Spoiler: totally not canon (click to show/hide)

Agression roll: [65] = not aggressive

You gauged your options. Yes, you were definitely spotted, but there is little reason to panic. You believed that if they want to strike back in the night, it would be too late already, and if they want to strike in broad daylight, you'll be more than prepared for it.

In any case, you won the gamble. Nothing really happened, and by morning you have already broke camp and on the way back to Karuva.

Day 6.

Environment roll: [56]
Supply Roll: [96]
Event Roll: [45]
Progress roll: [58]+5 for fair weather + 10 for no event + 10 for well prepared retreat = 83/200
Supplies left: 55+5=60

Maybe because you broke camp early, today you caught another group of the flightless birds. They certainly taste good, and you saved some of them for roasted bird sandwich tomorrow.

Day 7.

Environment roll: [25]
Supply Roll: [16]
Event Roll: [3] Disaster

Once again, it rained quite hard, and the roasted bird was once again spoiled. To make things worse, our men didn't found the markers they had left a few days ago; they blamed birds, the weather, and soon they blamed one another, and some of them even wanted to fight each other. In any case which will not help a group lost in the jungle.

What will you do here?
- Blame the birds
- Blame the Weather
- Blame yourself
- Any more sensible option

((I guess we now need to find our way back))
Pick a direction and walk until we reach the coast, then travel along the coast until we reach our settlement.

We really need to get a professional soldier army once our colony gets off the ground.
