You'd be surprised at how tight a battleship can turn.

Blargh how the hell do you grind up a Kawachi? The fucking thing has so goddamn short range guns! (A stock South Carolina has more range than an upgraded Kawachi. Blagh)

No. I suppose there are similarities, but I'm fairly certain angry birds doesn't let me charge into a battalion of knights with a car made of circular saws.

...but I thought the South Carolina already had short BB range?

South carolina's guns shoot out to just over 11km upgraded(10.2 stock). The upgraded Kawachi shoots to 9.8km. You can see the problem right? Especially since the Kawachi only moves 20.4km max

Sailing the Kawachi is hell. You have no armor(for a BB), you have no range and the guns are shit both in damage and accuracy.

That goddamn battleship is 5km away, HOW CAN YOU MISS A FULL BROADSIDE!!! >:(

On the other end of the spectrum, the St. Louis is just as hilarious as I remembered from the closed beta. As jingles said: "This is just made of guns!"

Heck, pretty much all of the mid-tier US cruisers are great... except the Phoenix when it's stock.

So, under a name of Blind_Kitty (notice the underscore), I'm sailing in the name of Imperial Japanese Navy (due to torpedoes on cruisers). Do we have some kind of team thingy?

Which server are you on?

I'm on EU and would love some platooning action.

Up to T5 atm with the Omaha which is pretty fun as far as cruisers go. I should really be playing the japs more too but I just can't bring myself to grind out the tenryu which is just meh to play.

I'm in EU. And on EU server, too. :) I've got Japanese Tier 3, well, everything, with cruiser and destroyer upgraded and Kawachi mostly stock. Got to T2 in Muricans, but I will defer grinding them more until T5 - 6 IJN, since no torpedoes on cruisers. I like torps. I like them a lot. :D

What I'm really sad about, is lack of British tech tree. German could be nice too, even if carrier-less.

Well the 'murricans get torps on t4 cruisers, mostly because the St. Luis is stupidly powerful as is, don't even want to imagine it having torps too.

A St.Loius with torps would probably be even slower than it already is, because they'd have to build more ship to find room to put them! :)

American torps aren't particularly impressive at the best of times, and they're wasted tonnage on the CLs. I've never actually used them on my Phoenix or Omaha because they're not fast enough to get in on a torp run without dying and you're better served hovering at the edge of your gunnery range.
