Matchmaking is abysmal. We had a team of novice 20s up against 80s and a 98 who were grinding us into the dust.

You got your cause and effect the wrong way around. The stupider your team is, the more gold medals you'll get. Possibly you'll do better if your team is horrible, because you'll be free to get all the kills yourself.

The thing is, randoms are *always* bad at the game. This includes you if you are a random and part of your team is in a group; you will magically lose skill so the rule remains in effect.

This is true singleplayer mode. Happens to me every quickplay game I get matched into:

Team voice chat is so silent.

That would be because team voice chat is incredibly annoying so I (and probably others) turn it off.

Its worth pointing out its often very difficult to tell what your allies are doing in OW unless you're specifically trying to.  So you might have that great Pharah on your team and never notice.

Lucioball is a lot of fun.   

Also I lucked out and this update dropped when I was level 99.  I'm going to be able to take advantage of the fast-levelling and lots of lootboxes from 1 to 20ish once I prestige.
