The Ztah are part of Brightwall by now...originally kind of Mongol they are know more or less Cossacks i guess? Mongol/Cossacks?

Name: Tabudai Nonsher

Description: Tall and swarthy Tabudai is the very picture of a Ztah warrior from a pulp adventure. His black hair is untied and comes down to his shoulders, marking him as different from both his people and the Brighthall oppressors.  His eyes are hard and piercing, trained from raids on the scattered villages and depots of the occupying army. The rider wears a red cotton cherkesska and a black Kuban. On his back he carries a riding musket while at his side he has a small saber.

Background:
Elberth is not the only occupied land on the Storm Coast. Once the riders of the Ztah steppe rode far and free, worshiping the elemental demons of their homelands while they launched raids on more civilized lands. However that all ended when Brighthall conquered the steppe, forcing the tribes into submission. The old religion was crushed, ancient traditions stamped out and the people of the sky were put into chains. However some kept to the old ways and retreated into fortified camps and holds deep in the steppe. These Kazakiin kept up the old lifestyle of the Ztah while taking in the parts of the modern world that they liked. When Brighthall splintered they saw their chance and took a good part of the southern steppe, establishing an unofficial rebel state.

Tabudai is an envoy from the Kazakiini holds sent east to provide Elberthian Monarchists aid out of a sense of shared struggle. The warrior is idealistic and devout, the son of an Elementalist. His hate of Brighthall is quickly transforming into hate of conquering nations everywhere. Trained by going on lighting raids on Brighthallian towns he is adept at firing from horseback. From a young age he was immersed in Elemental Demonist traditions, learning how to call upon the 19 Elemental demons and how to ward them away. His mission is to help establish a Elberthian state and to gain their help in creating a legitimate Kazakiini state in the southern part of East Brighthall. To aid in this he brings with him as many riders as could be spared from each of the holds.

Tabudai himself is a passionate youth, reaching his twenty second birthday a week after crossing the border. Life in the camp was not easy and he was forced to make do with strict rationing between raids. When he was old enough he took part in the strikes against Brighthall and quickly found that he liked fighting against the hated enemy. The life of the steppe has left him unlettered and ignorant about anything beyond East Brighthalls borders, leaving him with only sketchy knowledge about Elberth, Preston and their Cyclist traditions. Quick to laugh and quicker to anger Tabudai finds that he fits the sterotype of the emotional Ztahian warrior, a role that he is comfortable falling into.

I like it mcclay, I think you will be a good addition to the game. Are you angling to make that man into a chief of police? Because he sounds like leader of light cavalry to me... anyhow, the queen will have whatever she demands of you!

All that is left is awaiting official spot opening, so stay tuned.

E: despite leaving it pretty open-ended, we can assume that Erika was told of the newcomer and its up to her to either see him or not. In addition, your good fortune with artillery is a benefit of the prologue chapter being a "story-level" of sorts. Real pain in the ass will start with running the kingdom...

Was gonna make a police chief but then decided on a Zathian when I realized we didn't really have a kingdom yet. It Tabudai takes a bullet to the skull I'll probably make a captain of the guard guy.

Are there any wounded units that need th ecare of the Hospitallers? Other than the enemy, which I suppose I could heal, but...

Our side seemed o either die or take no damage.

Well, this encounter was particularly brutal and our commanders either didn't manage or didn't have a chance yo rotate the wounded units out of combat.

I am hoping to roll up events snd a large turn tomorrow as it eill be my day off, so keep stuff coming.

THere are indeed wounded:

1 x Weylandish Raiders: WS 4, BS 2, Health:9, Armour 2, Morale 20, Movement 1

otherwise no elbrethian units who are wounded though. The Line Infantry and hte Medieval Infantry got both pounded into nothingness as well as the crews of the artillery.
