Well, if the princess is done and happy with everything so far, I wil roll for people who posted so far. Ideally I'd like to roll for everyone in one go so no one is left out of the narrative, but if people are waiting on me, I'll oblige tonight.

Hmm. Not sure what action I could really take, after all. I've rallied the troops. I'm not involved with spies

Priests, in actuality, make pretty good informants. I doubt your character would approve of turning her faith into a spy network, though.

Could always go full Inquisition and start burning the heretics, i guess, but I don't think that really fits her.

[?] While the leadership deliberates, the soldiers grow restless. Religious inspiration that overtook everyone is keeping good order and no major disruptions happen, nonetheless soldiers grow visibly upset. Every day of waiting is met with more and more murmurs of puzzled disappointment.

"There is sense to this plan, but we have time enough to deal with minor matters before we march.  A day, at most.  Have the men breakfast and tend to their equipment for now, we will make to leave after noon.

These do not seem to match up in timescale.

I do apologize for the mistake, however, that would leave the spy actions hanging, if I were to try to match them up with the time flow of the war conversation. If that were the case, the message to go towards the Vale would have no impact as only a single day would have passed and the scouts would not even get as far as the Vale.
In addition, its a side effect of the sermon, it did overshoot after all, and some things might have an effect with a duration to them as far as common sense would dictate.

Time distortions, eh? My favourite part of YaK games...

... Did you guys really expect to get all that spywork done in such little time? Those are some rather unrealistic expectations.

EDIT: Ninja'd, heh.

Yeesh, I go do job interviews for a couple of days and everything falls apart and the enemy's already mobilised.  Let's start fixing things up, then...

Edit:  Right, going to write a speech, I'll write it properly.  This may take time to properly devise.

Edit 2:  And rhetoric.  So here's some fun implied history/myth:

In the distant past, probably before the XXXa calendar, the semi-mythical king Sigurd led his people to Elbreth and founded the early kingdom there.  Further kings have claimed lineage to the line of Sigurdson, and the concept of the Spirit Reborn ties into this and Cyclicism a fair bit.  The Scattering may or may not have something to do with that human slave rebellion in ancient Hatcur, too... ;D

Well, the enemies only mobilized when prodded to do so, and since rebels have such an active and robust spy actvity...

The pace might seem a bit steep, I am aware of that, however everything is rolling as planned. I might not be the most prolific of writers and sometimes the updates might be short or rather factual rather than elaborated upon, I hope that the variety of events and outcomes will keep you guys interested. Also, the more important events and people will be expanded, so expect GMs to participate in the game just as much.

Older YaKs had the king act as a semi-GM, and while that had its ups and downs, with 2 GMs handlign this game, this became redundant and sometiems prevented the king from becming engrossed or caused issues and arguments in the past, not to mention slowdowns. Since king character is the main protagonist of the game as such, its their role to foster RP and give tasks to players (and Iituem does so admirably so far).

With that said, I will try to keep an eye on passage of time and give you guys more clues and cues.

Edit: Deep, Filex - your apps are fine, consider yourself shortlisted. You will enter the game once I feel confident in handling large amount of players or if we lose someone due to inactivity (no pressure though, I'll only worry about those if other players are stalled due to inactivity of another player.)

3man, I'm afraid that your current application is too focused on one thing still and I can see it stalling the game and your own fun - its something that happened in past YaK games with engineers and assasins and the like; these characters are so specialised that their range of action differs little from NPCs and RP was not enough to make up for it. I had enough experience with those to see it and to be wary of such chasracters entering the game.

Taricus - your app is fine and quite fitting with the world of the game, but I just need a little more clarification on how is your character tied to the revolution and Elbreth apart from finding yourself there - what is their possible obligation and desire to serve Erika?

Initially, mostly out of self-interest than any true loyalty. And that happens more to be a desire to keep the landhold that he has and general desire to see an advance of technology (An uphill battle given what we've seen of Elbreth's advancements so far).

There may be another motive, one that's a little stronger than the above, but I'll have to ask that privately to avoid spoilers.
