And I would've kicked him in the butt if he would dare to kill off players before this (extended) prologue finished.

E: Alistair Harroway is back! He has been NPC-fied with Shootandrun's consent so feel free to interact with him as normal.

I've got a question. It doesn't say anything on the wiki about it, but Elbreth is, culturally, pretty separated from Suul and Preston. Do Elbrethians and Prestoners have different accents, and if so, is there a consensus as to what they are?

Afaik originally Elbreth, Miring (now a longterm part of Preston), Preston and Suul all originally belonged to Roman-Empire Style Nation of Miring. Only with Magic and such.

In any case with the fall of the original Miring Empire, the nations developed into different directions. By the Beginning of Yak 1 they were still pretty close culturally but during and after the Reign of the Storm Queen (So during and after Yak 2) they started to drift apart.

Nowadays Preston Culture has drifted away a long ways from that of Elbreth, at least in regards to regional accents. Religion is roughly the same with the Elbrethian Heresy still hanging around. However Elbreth has been occupied for the better part of 100 to 150 years, but yeah you see how well that worked out if you look at Scotland and England in comparison in terms of cultural assimilation.

In regards to accents you can presume they indeed have different ones, with Preston and Suul staiyng pretty much the same, Miring being a bit different and Elbreth propably taking the role of Scots (if we take Great Britain as stand-between to compare the relationship between countries in former Elbreth/Miring).

Btw, I'm pretty sure those three teal cavalry are ours. We had three dragoons listed, they haven't been bloodied, and the enemy cavalry already got slaughtered...or I am looking at the wrong thing? Need some confirmation. And maybe a list of what units=colors?

You are right Dwarmin, these are Elbreth dragoons. As far as I'm concerned though, the battle is pretty much won in favor of Elbreth, despite their quality, Preston troops were unprepared for the shock attack and flanking. Weylanders will rip them apart in combination with cavalry charge, while artillery will punish anyone in the back and fleeing units.

Well, then the enemy can break or call for surrender, surely.

Well, I am in a process of preparing for that. Sadly, Ghaz will be stepping from the post of co-GM, as other projects are occupying him right now. however, that should allow for a slight acceleration of pacing.

I thought the enemy cav was 'Hatchcock's' unit.

Well, the confusion comes form the fact that Hathcock's unit was a "narrative" one. His entry to the game was with a failed charge. Not to worry, I'll bring all players together soon.

I don't see it as well, so blindness is either an epidemic or it was judged information that really didn't matter right now. We won the battle, anyway.

The lone man standing waves his flag above his head in victory.

But as my Sisters are healers, knowing who is injured would be good.

Well, you can judge be the casualties which units took damage.

One of my artillery groups was blown off the map for example.
