The pirates are cultists to the Ethereal Sea, the very fabric of spacetime itself, in its pure form: the outer space, the vacuum, the nothingness that evelopes each and all the worlds, and connects them.

They believe that the Sea has a terrible affliction: its immaterialness has grown beyond limits, and so it must be fed, with the still living bodies and souls of those unfortunate enough to fall victim to the pirates, the Travelers of the Ether. The sacrifices are made by hurling the breathing body of the victim into the vacuum, so that the body explodes and disperses through the Ether, helping to fill the vacuum, and feeding it the soul of the victim.

Except human body doesn't explode in vacuum.

Fine, we throw the body into the void so it can feed on it, then blow it up to release the soul into it.

Sounds fun and practical.

Ah Yes, Your followers are Ardent Worshipers of The Ethereal Sea, And like to display this by Exploding Random Humans in the Void of Space, Unfortunately, The Templar don't take kindly to this and drove you all from your homeland. To wander The Ethereal Sea, So you dubbed yourselves The Travelers of the Ether, And vowed Vengeance. Your Followers stole an Ancient, But Mint-Condition Imperial Class 3 Dreadnought from a Shipyard, Again, Unfortunately, Most of The Travelers were Massacred in the retreat and the Dreadnought was Heavily Damaged in the Flight.

You and your Fellow Travelers came to the consensus that you should Create a Colony World in an attempt to Evade the Templar, And repair The Dreadnought after it's Ordeals. But first, Were do you settle?

Belorrox 9: It is Extremely Isolated and Templar hardly ever Patrol the Area. It has a Sub-Artic Climate, Which is Very Much Respected by your Followers, As they Believe Water to be the Second-Most Pure Form of Ether. It's Dotted and Filled with Massive Mountains holding Extremely Vast Deposits of Minerals and Caverns, As a result, Some Hardy Prospectors Frequent this area.

Sector 1,298,632,091: It's a Very Wide expanse of Asteroids orbiting a Small Blue Star. However,It's VERY FAR from Nearly every Settlement, As there are Rumors of Horrendous Monsters that could scar the Most Hardened Templar with a Glance. As a Result, Almost Nobody ever explores this Place, Apart from Fringe Cults, Foolhardy Outlaws, and Extremely Daring Templar Elites, However, There are some Others who like the Sector. It has Nearly Inexhaustible Reserves of Minerals, But,  there are obvious difficulties to settling an Asteroid Field.

The Mokadorian Nuke-Wastes: It was once the home of a Prospering Civilization, Up until the Residents were Foolish Enough to deny the Emperor Absolute Authority over their Monetary Reserves, Causing Difficulties with the Templar Hordes. It is now a Massive Pile of Ruins, Radiation, Desperate Criminals, and Adventurous Prospectors. It's Mineral Reserves have been mostly exhausted, But there's still Plenty of Artifacts in the Ruins. Many Templar Patrols examine this area frequently.

Your Followers seem to prefer Belorrox 9, For Religious Reasons, But it's your Decision. Speaking of which,

What is your Name, What do you look like, Do you Believe in The Ether, And how did you become Leader?

Also, What do you name the Dreadnought?

On one hand, belrox 9 has plenty of water, and far from Templars and minerals in case we want to mine.

But the sector also looks good.... However I must vote for belrox9

The ship will be called known as the Bermuda.

We set course for Belorrox 9!

We are Belsmart Finray, a guy with a big bushy black beard and black hat with red feathers in it. He commonly wears black boots and a long coat with brass buckles along it that help hold his single shot flinlock pistols laser guns in place while wandering the ship. He also has a cybernetic eyepatch that allows him to see in the dark. He believes entirely in the Ether, in fact he convinced the entire crew that it existed. He became captain of the dreadnought when he went to the local bar and said "Who wants to go fuck some shit up?" and people cheered, then joined him in stealing the ship and sailing away.

Speaking of lowest intelligence, that reminds me of the fact that it's probably your first time in prison. Don't worry, I can give you some tips, having spent some time in a few myself. The best way to make friends here is to drop the soap during shower time. Try it, I'm sure you'll love making friends like that!
