On a
previous report i mentionned how a bunch of random NPC (not static ones) were oddly gathering in a specific area of the city and patrolling constantly north /south of it
Most of those guys gave me a Jabberwock mission (the eater of the dead mission thing) , and nearly all of them had that mission on the same location on the world map.
So i thought it was all the same Jabberwock target.
I found recently on a hostile NPC corspe a nice shotgun (that he used to murder one of my team member) to be of use with all the ammo i had gathered before for it, so i decided it was time to get to work on that mission and with my 2 allies (i gave a SKS + ammo to one and a crossbow + bolts to the other) i was very optimistic on the outcome.
We travelled with my car and finally while we were roaming around in a distant town, we found the Jabberwock at some distance.
But it was not a Jabberwock, it was actually multiple Jabberwock.
2 of those nasties ! but something else was going on : true to their "i eat everyone" they were fighting each other.
Once one was dead, i saw a 3rd Jabberwock rushing (i guess their numbers is probably explained by all those different random NPC giving the same location to their eater of the dead hunting mission) and started to fight the surviving one.
Obviously we waited in the car for a single monster to emerge victorious, so we would be able to kill him more easily.
We didn't wait for long, the last of the things moved toward us, we welcomed it with shotgun, rifle and crossbow
After coming back to town to report my victory to those bunch of NPC , it actually enabled me to have 100% persuasion chance when asking each of them to join after they were happy of the mission being a success and me asking no reward.
And very soon i was leading a good and strong squad
It also solved the lag of the area where all those random NPC were bizarrely moving north then south constantly without reason (it was probably another bug but without error).
One of those NPC had a green wound at the head, yeah an infected wound unfortunately so only antibiotic would help, i knew that on the version i was playing 1st aid kits had no more antibiotics inside (unlike the much older version i was used to).
And obviously no real antibiotic anywhere in any of the town i visited (pharmacies seems to be more busy selling snacks than medication in that bizarre world, unless it's another bug with the item distribution). Oh i found a few "atreyupan" that apparently are very weak version of antibiotics, and after trying them on the NPC indeed they did absolutely nothing, "too weak antibiotic" it even said as expected when i asked the NPC to show me his stat page.
But at the city in the north distance of my base there's a hospital.
So if there's a hospital there must be antibiotic or anything that can help right ?
But there's also truckload of undeads there.
Yet, i had an army this time, they had weapons and i had in stock some more , so how about we go and try to conquer that nastily infested hospital and get a lifetime of healing there ?
Ok, i was decided and we went to war.
Yeah, it was war, outside of the hospital
we killed probably a hundred of undead, and inside of the hospital probably the same.
I was out of ammo for most of my weapons , half my squad was dead but the infected NPC was still alive (as i protected him quite a lot from the onslaught).
So we had a cleared hospital, that was amazing right ?
And ... not ... a ... single ... antibiotic ... anywhere in it and on any of the destroyed zombies.
Looks like item distribution is very odd. I guess that NPC is unfortunately going to die soon , oh well.
Anyways at least i got some usefull loot out of that hospital : i found a lot of disinfectant , so at least i can prevent a blue wound to become green on anyone.
And i ran into a computer about stem cell apparently, and it automatically injected me with stem cell in the eye without me really asking, delivered a lot of pain that i had to wait out (and aspirin helps) in order to get my lost stats back but once pain was at 0 again, i saw no change to my character.
No idea what it is supposed to do.
