They frequently do, actually, because several SCPs have side effects that would effect living ex-test dummies and possibly cause a containment breach. The SCP world is not a nice one.

Name: Tom Norrin
Appearance: A man with black hair peppered with gray. He hunches slightly when he's focused and has very pale skin due to lack of exposure to sunlight. His skin is somewhat wrinkled from age.
Discipline: Chemistry, biology
Backstory: He was a professor at the University of [REDACTED] for [REDACTED] years before he discovered the Foundation. He applied for the job because of the big benefits, but neglected to check the estimated employee survival rate first. He got in partially due to  his good reputation for always being careful to follow procedure.
Current Security level: 2

Name: Clara Dinvale
Appearance: A mid-height woman with a stern expression and reddish-brown hair. She walks more heavily on her right foot but tends to hold weapons in her left hand.
Backstory: She joined the police force after graduating high school and managed to make a name for herself in field work. Though she didn't have too remarkable a career for most of her stay in the force, she was recruited into the foundation after holding her own against a low level SCP threat until a containment team arrived. It was deemed enough of an achievement to be worth bringing her onto the operation.
Current security level: 2

Class D, AKA test subject
Name: Hamburger
Appearance: Several scars across his face give him the appearance similar to ground meat, which is how he got his nickname. He moves aggressively  and tends to jump forward when startled, swinging his arms at the threat.
Backstory: Was caught eating his son's corpse after murdering his wife. It wasn't a long trial.

Class D, AKA test subject
Name: Bubbles
Appearance: Burps when he is startled. Also has several pockmarks, lumps, and boils on his face. The nickname came naturally.
Backstory: Was caught trying to set fire to a hospital. He failed, but he had still strangled two security guards on his way there and was convicted of murder. He's not very bright.
