...surely you mean chronic myelogenous leukemia, not acute, right?

Hey man, I have a question. Are you fearful of dying? Apart from treatment have people helped you in this area?
I can only think of what I would become knowing I had cancer.
I can talk about things if you want to.
Even strangers care

well I don't get to talk to anyone about this sometimes with my therapist but not so much due to other issues
and yes I have a fear of dieing.
my cancer is getting worse and I can feel it before  the tests even have to tell me.
I guess im more afraid of loosing everyone and missing living. I don't want to leave my loved ones and I fear being
forgotten after death like it was all meaningless and this may sound vain but id miss watching all the good shows and
movies and seeing nature just laying in grass enjoying the sun playing with the stray cats outside and my cats I don't
want to miss that I don't want to disappear...
thanks for talking to me about this no one ever asks me this and most people  that im very close refuse to talk
 to me about it.
cancer has ruined my future the plans and aspirations I had but people just seem to expect me to get over it the other
sad thing is people assume your fine from just looking at you they expect a cancer patent who is very il to look like some
half starved malnourished person and its simply not true .
theirs other things that I guess could be filed under stupid stuff people say to cancer patients lol I feel like a selish winey
person when ever I complain about my cancer and sometimes people will use it against me saying its an excuse when they
have no idea what its like I have had best friends lie about having cancer after me telling them i did I don't even know why
they did it it was not to empathize but to get my sympathy and i gave it to them later to find they made the whole thing up.

How did you get diagnosed? Was after a routine blood test?

Also: you mentioned a bone marrow transplant. Are you getting one?

il see on the 16th if the chemo is still effective if it is not then il get a bone marrow transplant.
And how I found out is I was at a doctors getting my yearly and they noticed I looked very
sick. I could barely walk they did a blood to test to see my hemoglobin was 0.7 that's very anemic.
So they sent me to er to get a blood transfusion the er doesn't just give blood transfusions they
had to take more blood to see what's wrong and found my white blood cell count was way to high
then they did a bone marrow biopsy that was very painful and that's what let them know I have cancer.

Were you treated with tasigna from the beginning or did they give you intensive chemotherapy beforehand?

Yay the weekend so im back here to help everybody where I can.

I know its interesting for some to talk about the medical treatment side but the doctors would have talked about it plenty.

I want to focus more on your coping side and how it is effecting you.
Like you said, you havnt talked about it.
Please talk about it to your family and friends.
You shouldnt let it ruin your future goals either.
I know the feeling of leaving your loved ones is a scary one but dieing is something we all have to accept, you are simply in a situation where it is obvious and seems to be looming down on you. An experience that some never have.
Dont feel vain or selfish for feeling that you will miss tv and the cats, there is nothing wrong with feeling nostalgic, you have every right to feel wrongly done by.
Ignore when anybody thinks your condition is not that bad, the main issue is how you percive it and people should treat you like you arnt sick but should take note when you arnt feeling good.

I really do think you should talk about death with your family and your wishes,  get it out of the way and move on to your future.
I want you to get better,  but I have no metaphysical powers so I can only help you with words and positive advice. Eat foods high in fat and minerals and keep your energy up.
Dont let it get you skinny because the chemo takes alot of it away.

Ive never had cancer, my grandfather did have it for years his was glandular. Sadly I never had a chance to know him well (family issues) and I regret it thoroughly because I heard so much about him was similar to me.
People wont forget you, not until everybody who knew you dies will you be forgotten. Dont try to make it a goal to be remembered that is giving up,  live in the now.
Because the truth is,  there is only now
I will be around to help
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Love Wolfy

yes and tasigna is not a non aggressive chemo.  I am unable to go in to get the iv as often
as every night and morning of everyday.
And pill form works better then the iv for my type of cancer it does not make it any less aggressive.
I hope im making sense the oncs plan the whole time is to attack aggressively because
I was in sever blast phase.
Its getting worse but the chemo keeps my organs from engorging like they did.  I almost lost my spleen.

Trust wolfy for this much.
I will help you out with what I can but Iv been busy with work.
Il edit later

thanks!

So, they gave you IV chemo and now you're taking ITKs as maintenance?
