I just downloaded this game again and am running into a problem. I keep talking to people and they are saying that they will drop by to chat, but nothing ever happens. I wait for days but never get any sort of notification.

Can you give any more specifics? I have never encountered a bug such as you describe.

- Go talk to a Hippie
- Hippie says they will come by later tonight
- Exit building
- Press "W" to wait for a few days
- Nothing happens.

This is with multiple cities enabled, right?

If so, you're playing a pre-bugfix version (all meetings not in the starting city automatically fail like this).  If you're on windows, just download the entire SVN ZIP for r860 and assemble the release ZIP from that.

The thing is that I haven't been able to reproduce this bug reliably in the Mac version. I'm working on it.

I'm thinking I may have just downloaded an old version. I certainly didn't get the download from this thread. I downloaded from here and everything is working fine.
