What's going on? Catch me up.

So, I haven't really kept up with Masterwork DF since 5.1, when a mix of real life and waiting it to update to the latest DF version kept me away. Now coming back I'm rather lost. What is Masterwork Reborn? Is it a fork of Masterwork or is a new version with the old one discontinued? Is it already stable and ready to play or does it need more development to be in a "fully playable" state?

*reposts first post of masterwork reborn to es-plain what it is* =P

tilesets feel a little off (at least for me damn multi z level viewing) trees are (very) hard to see due to the multi z-level branches, oh multi z-level trees ftw. 1 tree has a ton more wood now (and pisses elves off more apparently! hehe)

your probably better off reading patch notes bro... they're there.. meph does them =)

I'm assuming you mean this thread? I think I get it a bit, but I was hoping for something a bit more in deep. But if I got it right, and do correct me if I'm wrong, basically it's a restarting from scratch because the changes in the base DF would need be a lot of work to update what was already there and so they might as well fix some deep problems in the previous versions?

Yes.

MDF at it's current form has a very large mod with V6.2, still using the old DF version.

And the MDF Reborn, using the new DF version, but only has Dwarf, Gnome and Succubus content so far and some misc stuff... still a large mod in itself, but way smaller than the old MDF.

I'm currently travelling, only access to netbook, so no large changes planned.
